FillyRarity
I'm not entirely sure what increasing armour does... I assume it will... reduce the amount of damage each hit does, but someone said it only works like that with health, not shields. Is that true? How does armour work? Archistopheles
Yes. Armor only increases the base armor for your frame So Rhino gets more armor bonus than Mag does. It also only affects your health, so if you have low health, armor is almost useless.
hyperblaster
Armour reduces damage to health, and does not affect shields. Armor causes incoming damage to be multiplied by 100/(Armor+100). So 25 armor means you only take 80% of the incoming damage. This equation does not apply for specific damage type classified as armor ignore. Armor reduces damage done to your Health only; the higher your Armor, the more damage is reduced when your shields are down. To know how much damage reduction you have, the calculation is as follow : DamageReduction% = Armor / (Armor + 100) At 50 Armor, you have 33% damage reduction At 100 Armor, you have 50% damage reduction At 150 Armor, you have 60% damage reduction Remember, that applies only to damage to the damage done to your health; your shields always take 100% damage (or more if it's ice damage)
