A voodoo doll, a vessel of misery and misfortune, Vountos is the harbinger of suffering, collecting misery from his teammates to suffer in their places, while retaliating upon his enemies for their malefaction. Vountos is unique in a way that he isn't harmed by status effects, in fact he benefits from it and his kit emphasizes heavily on the manipulation of status effects : Spreading from one to a group, collecting status effects from his allies, isolating himself to both preserve his status effects and increase his resistance, expel one's status effects out as vengeful spirits to damage enemies, and finally grow a weakening aura by collecting all suffering to retaliate in an apocalyptic attack. Vountos is the protector of his allies, he who rings the bell of justice and retaliation with corrupt power, he who cleanses the world with vile magic.

ABILITIES

PASSIVE : REVILE PROTECTION

Spoiler

Status effects lasts twice as long on Vountos. Vountos is completely immune to their negative effects and receives 90% less damage from damaging status effects. Vountos has separate display for the status effects he possesses.

VILE PURGE

Spoiler

After recovering from a status effect, Vountos and allies within affinity sharing range gains +15% ability efficiency, strength, range, duration and health regeneration for 8 seconds.

1ST ABILITY : SPROUTING SCOURGE (25 energy)

Spoiler

Targets an enemy and causes tendrils to explode out of its body, reaching out to nearby enemies and inflicting them with 1 stack of all status effects the target possesses, grabbing them towards the target and briefly immobilizing them. Inflicts 1 random new status effect of the target onto Vountos, preferring status effects closest to expiring to be refreshed when no new status effects can be obtained.

Holding down the ability button to self cast, inflicting nearby enemies with 1 stack of all status effects Vountos possesses. Both forms of Sprouting Scourge inflicts extra stacks of status effects with each unique status effect Vountos possesses.

Augment : SEEDS OF SCOURGE

Plants a seed of scourge into the enemy, turning the target invulnerable to damage for a duration, while feeding off the status effects the target possesses. Rapidly inflicts nearby enemies with all the status effects the target is affected with, the more status effect the target possesses, the larger the affliction radius will be. Absorbs all damage during its invulnerability state and deals it back to the target when the ability expires/deactivated by recasting on the same target. Upon death, transfers all status effects onto all nearby enemies and Vountos if he is within range with corresponding stacks.

Self casting gains bonus range based on how many status effect Vountos is afflicted with.

2ND ABILITY : SHROUD (10 energy)

Vountos wraps himself in enchanted rags, protecting himself from external fire. Shroud will indefinitely halt the timer of status effects Vountos possesses, draining energy as long as it is active. For each status effect Vountos possesses, Shroud drains 2 more energy/s and provides +15% damage reduction (scales with strength, 30% maximum), capping out at 90% damage reduction and the energy drain of amount of status effects required to achieve 90% damage reduction. Shroud drains 0 energy when Vountos possesses no status effects.

While active, Shroud prevents Vountos from getting anymore status effects unless otherwise specified.

Synergy

Spoiler

While Shroud is active, increases base status effect infliction of Sprouting Scourge from 1 stack to 3 stacks, on both enemies and Vountos. In addition, hold casting Sprouting Scourge temporarily blesses teammates in range, protecting them from status effects by transferring them onto Vountos, which bypasses Shroud.

Augment : VOODOO'S DOLL

Spoiler

Costs 75 energy to cast and drains no energy, upon first casting the ability Vountos transfers all his status effects onto his enchanted rags, leaving it at its place as a voodoo doll. The doll attracts enemy fire and does not expire with its status effects, while active Vountos will also have all status effects immediately transfer to the doll, triggering his passive every time he is inflicted. Vountos can cast most of his target based abilities on the voodoo doll, while self casting ones and Armageddon sees a mimicked cast at the doll's location. Curses all enemies in range to remove their special abilities, drains 50% of Vountos's health and transfers all status effects onto him upon being destroyed.

Recasting teleports the doll to Vountos's place, costing 25 energy and transfers new status effects onto it, summons a new one when previous one is destroyed. With this augment, Shroud will also no longer provide Vountos its defensive capabilities and its synergies with other abilities.

3RD ABILITY : LAMENTING PAIN (50 energy)

Purges all status effects from the targeted enemy/ally, the target explodes in a shockwave of all damage types it is inflicted of its status effects with, and releases them as grudging souls, seeking down enemies and damaging them.

The amount of souls released is based on how many unique status effect the target possesses, each representing one of the damage type, with the amount of stacks multiplying their damage and status chance. The souls will prioritize enemies weak to its damage type, and each are able to deal damage multiple times on multiple enemies before expiring.

Hold to self cast and purge all status effects Vountos possesses, all souls released are considered to have 10 stacks and instantly triggers Vile Purge passive.

Synergy

Explodes in enchanted rags when self cast while Shroud is active, ending and applying your Shroud onto all enemies and allies within range for a duration. Shroud on allies gives them status immunity and the damage reduction Vountos has upon casting Lamenting Pain, whereas Shroud on enemies procs 10 stacks of all status effects Vountos possesses and prevents status effects from expiring on them.

Augment : CORRUPT FORTUNE

Souls no longer deals damage, gains an aura which it inflicts status effects upon enemies within range, and has their lifespan increased. Each soul have a 20% chance of producing loot from the killed enemies' loot table whenever an enemy is killed inside its aura. Gains the ability to command the souls' movement by aiming down sights.

4TH ABILITY : ARMAGEDDON (50 energy, 1~8 energy/s)

Draws in every single misery onto Vountos, creates an aura that grows and feeds upon Vountos's pain. Every status effect inflicted on enemy or ally within the aura creates suffering for Vountos to collect, consuming Vountos's health in the process to feed the aura (0.33s cooldown, leaves Vountos at 2 HP at minimum). For the misery Vountos collects, he also inflicts the status effect onto himself. Armageddon has a mechanic similar to Hysteria, which grows from 0% to 100% as Vountos absorbs misery, which grows in radius as well as energy drain. Upon reaching 100%, this ability no longer drains Vountos's health but still inflicts him with status effects that is inflicted upon within his aura.

Enemies inside the aura are more susceptible to status infliction and will have their status effect stacking cap raised to 20 (10 for liches and other bosses with reduced status cap), stacking their additional effects according with a few exceptions. With at least 75% of the ability built up, upon deactivating Vountos summons a devastating attack : Releases a shockwave that permanently reduces enemy health and defense according to how many status effects affected enemies possesses (-5% max health and -10% defense per unique status effect, maximum of 10 stacks), summons a lasting apocalyptic meteor shower that deals every single type of damage except true damage, and has innate Condition Overload, dealing +100% damage with each unique status effect the target possesses. Meteors has 200% status chance.

Status effects that has unique stacking with its cap raised are as follows :

Exposed - Adds a 10% base status chance when attacking an enemy attacking with 11 or more stacks of the Impact effect, adding 100% base status chance when attacking enemies with 20 stacks of Impact.

Disarm - Adds an additional 5% penalty to damage output with stacks past 10, capping out at 95% at 14 stacks, subsequent stacks adds a chance to disarm said enemy with Puncture procs, adding 20% chance each, resulting in a guaranteed disarm on the 20th Puncture stack.

Frostbite - Adds an additional 5% penalty to movement speed, fire rate and attacking speed with stacks past 10, capping out at 90% at 14 stacks, subsequent stacks deals an additional 40% damage over time of the weapon's Cold damage, capping out at 200% Cold damage per second at 20 stacks. Deals extra damage to Shields.

Dissolve - Adds an additional 6% armor reduction with stacks past 10, capping out at 100% armor reduction at 14 stacks, subsequent stacks deals an additional 40% damage over time of the weapon's Corrosive damage, capping out at 200% Corrosive damage per second at 20 stacks, Deals extra damage to Health.

Knockout - Adds an additional 5% penalty to accuracy with stacks past 10, capping out at 95% at 14 stacks, subsequent stacks adds more recovery time after suffering a crowd control effect, adding 20% each, resulting in +100% recovery time at 20 Blast stacks.

 

Synergy

Shroud's damage reduction affects the amount of health drained when collecting misery for Armageddon.

When souls released by Lamenting Pain can't seek out enemies that are weak to its damage type, they return to Vountos to feed to the aura's growth if it hasn't reached 100%, without draining his health.

Augment : REQUIEM

Spoiler

Each enemy killed inside the aura's radius releases a soul similar to that of Lamenting Pain, having the damage type of that the killed enemy is weakest to, and has its damage and status chance scale with the meter of Armageddon.
