(XBOX)The Cheshire2
Mercury one of the first planets to appear and the biggest introduction to two main factions, and yet still underwhelming. Although nonetheless opportunities remain. Currently we are introduced to a planet the a main mining site for Grineer and is runned in part by slaves, but during a story rescue ops it's discovered the Grineer somehow accidentally released the Infestation on the planet and now remains as a battleground. So how can it be improved? Tilesets! Scenery is everything and our current scenery is dull with boring generic Grineer mining sites tilesets, but there can be more! Mercury is hot so why not envelope a hellish scenery? A rocky molten surface with towering Grineer towers, drill sites, veryicle shafts with spiraling walkways, and even underground valleys with a sea of molten rock and holes to black abyss. Infestation and story The Infestation is intoduce as a accidental random disease that was delivered there, but why not instead have it as a buried horror. Grineer have be mining there fir years so it's reasonable to uncover Orokin facilities lost to time or even crack open underground hives (similar to GoW). If that be the case Id say add more ant like infestation to resemble something that's adapted to the rocky hot depths of Mercury. A good option to reveal not only standard Grineer forces but to show off specialized anti-infestation legion smong Grineer ranks. It's not enormously drastic but something i feel brings content and depth to the early game content. Thoughts?

Mercury has almost no atmosphere, so it's only hot during the day. At nighttime it cools to -170°C. The polar regions are always cold and never rise above -93°C. Mercury isn't as constantly hot as you think.
(XBOX)The Cheshire2
Well realistically yes but we're also playing a dark fantasy scifi game where Venus is a fridgid fungal wonderland so i think focus on reality can vary bit for entertainment value
Dauggie
tilesets could get a rework but i don't think it's important, jupiter as an example. they took quite a long time for that. it looks amazing but all that effort could have been put into new quests or something. tile sets are fun to look at for couple of missions then is just same old

Idea: Have an open world area on mercury with terrain that wildly fluctuates between day and night. During the day, molten hot rivers make traversal difficult. During the night, the rivers cool, allowing you to traverse them, but Mercury's excuse for snow has begun falling, and huge 'snow'banks block off access to certain areas. When night ends, the snowbanks melt, but the rivers heat up again.
