Through and Beyond - Heart chamber spore clusters don't spawn enemies

While piloting Snake and going to repair the Heart in Through and Beyond, I entered the Heart chamber and was told to destroy the spore clusters. When I shoot them, the invulnerability tentacles grow around them, and no enemies spawn. I am currently stuck and have aborted/restarted the mission twice with the same results.

Same. Tried running this quest from orbiter - didn't work either.

Looks like it started working for me after trying again a few hours ago. Don't know if it was due to the fix or my game specifically, but it's good to know its fixed/on the radar!
