launcher wont open if controller is connected

first off...im on windows 10

title says it all. i cant launch warframe if my controller is connected to my computer. i dont play warframe with a controller, but if i was playing something else using my nvidia shield controller...if i try to play warframe and i DONT disconnect the controller from my computer...warframes launcher just wont open.

i verified files

i restarted multiple times.

i looked over the list of things to look at when the launcher wont start.

i tried to launch directly from launcher.exe

the launcher just doesnt start if my controller is connected.

i did get an error code the first time which i submitted...unfortunately, i thought i saved it but i didnt...and now it wont give me the error code again.

 windows event viewer however does show me multiple entries like this:
