Rename Railjack Crew Members

Similar to how we can rename weapons for 10 platinum, there should be a feature to customize the crewmembers with personalized "nicknames" (maintaining the 10 platinum cost per rename). 

 

"Universal Pickup"

Since it has been made clear that universal vacuum is never going to be added to the game, the squad-pickup that exists in railjack missions (one player picking up a resource or item picks it up for the team) should be extended to all other mission types.

- Interactables (Ayatan Sculptures and Stars) would still require players to manually approach and interact to collect.

 

"Solo" Difficulty

Provide option to increase spawn rates to match the rates of a full squad while queued solo.

 

Defense Mission Type

Allow players to expedite the mission by forcing the next wave (more details in original thread):

 

Companion Update

I am aware that there is currently an update in the works for companions. However, I am incredibly concerned about the current balance that exists between the companions. Vulpaphyla and their "Devolution" mods offer an immortal pet for virtually little-to-no investment. Each companion should be a compelling, if not thematic, choice; there should never be a definitive "best-in-slot" companion choice that ruins and devalues all of the others.

Additionally, companion weapons need to have an added Exilus slot.

 

Helminth System

The greatest part of the Helminth system is how it breathed so much life back into the game. I found it enjoyable to get some friends together for some missions to gather the warframe parts. Completing the collection of abilities was great fun and provided a rewarding experience to work towards, it rarely felt like a grind. 

Now that the system has been out for a while, there are a few suggestions that I have for it:

  • More Helminth abilities:

Introduce more Helminth specific abilities. There several assets in game that could be used to create abilities. 

There could be a series of Helminth abilities that each summon a unique, fully moddable Infested unit companion, similar to Khora's Venari:

  1. [Summon Infested Charger]; works identical to current Helminth Charger, effectively allowing you to double-up on infested companions.
  2. [Summon Infested Ancient]; there is the possibility of including each of the variants (toxic, disruptor, healer)
  3. etc...

 

  • Subsume additional abilities from frames:

Several frames (though, not all) have other abilities that would suit the helminth system and should be added at the cost consuming another frame. Abilities such as Valkyr's [Rip Line], Protea's [Grenade Fan], Frost's [Freeze], Ember's [Fireball] are examples of some abilities that would be nice to see in the collection of subsumable abilities.

 

  • Introduce new ("reworked") abilities for frames:

There are many brilliant alternative abilities proposed on the forums. These rework threads are often met with criticism regarding the loss of an ability that they enjoy using. It would be interesting to see some of the more prominent abilities from the developers or community being added to the helminth system, allowing for players to pick and choose their "reworks". 

To summarize, instead of reworking or changing an ability of a warframe, the ability is added to the helminth system to be unlocked.

 

  • Allow multiple abilities to be subsumed onto a single frame:

The ability to swap a single ability has been helpful and fun to experiment with. However, it still leaves a lot to be desired. It would be nice to see a system that allows for additional abilities to be subsumed onto the frame.

To maintain a theme, the Helminth could consume a frame in order to "understand" it better, allowing for it to adapt and change it (consume a built Hydroid to unlock the ability to subsume a second ability onto all Hydroid frames).

While this system is demanding, requiring the cost of a fully built frame, it is intended for veteran players to specialize into and enhance their favourite frames.

 

  • Remove modifications from abilities:

With the release of the Helminth system, we saw some some restrictions and modifications added to abilities. These introduced addendums should be redacted, returning each of the abilities to their full strength. Additionally, allow for multiple damage buffs to be chosen; there is not a good reason for there to be a restriction when so many enemies have invincibility stages or phases - if a player wants to work towards a frame that only buffs their weapon damage, they have earned the right to do so.

 

"Universal Forma"

Following the introduction of the Helminth system, there is more of a need than ever before for better way to polarize frames. Whether it is allowing each configuration slot/loadout to be polarized separately, or using multiple forma to add another polarity to a slot, or simply utilizing the universal polarity (doesn't affect umbra). 

 

Augments Included in Native Ability

There was a popular thread that had previous gained traction regarding the idea of taking some of the current augments in the game and "baking" them into the base ability. Many of the augments current do not "augment" the ability, but fix problems or buff the ability.

Augments should be reserved for actual mechanics that change the way the ability works, all others should be adapted into the base ability.
