Blackspikes Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 All enemies die in 1 shot with Snipetron Vandal, and bosses have a damage cap. What good is having such high damage on 1 shot? To make charged chamber viable, and not everyone has a SnipeVandal.
Inferno_Hamster Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Here's hoping Primed Chamber is a Top 100 reward again in the next event.
Kato-san Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Here's hoping Primed Chamber is a Top 100 reward again in the next event. Wouldn't it make more sense if they announced that kinda of stuff before the event starts and not after?
HAYABU5A Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 this better not be better than lanka, cause that would be complete bull$@%#^ and id be a mad bro
fatpig84 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) this better not be better than lanka, cause that would be complete bull$@%#^ and id be a mad bro Less damage than Lanka in exchange for perma Prime/Charged chamber chamber boost. It has a 1 second reload but only 1 shot magazine. So reload mods help better. Edited October 31, 2013 by fatpig84
GratuitousLurking Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Wait, it's Bolt Action? Welp, I was gonna swap out Gram for Galentine, but I think I has a better idea :3 @NomoreVandal/Vulkar- sure, it's stronger, but as long as we still got options, people will use the Snipetron/Vulkar, specially as if that's the statline for Vectis I can see it getting a low mastery rank gate.
Krysis_V Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 this better not be better than lanka, cause that would be complete bull$@%#^ and id be a mad bro This will probably edge out on the Grineer but will lose out against the Infested. Although the question is, why bring a sniper to an Infested map. It's viable but the sheer number means that your ammo is not going to be enough. The way I look at it, its the Kunai vs Despair debate all over again, cept the Lanka deals serrated blade damage.

I think with the new armor 2.0 that is comming out, things won't be clear cut as "fire and serrated for infested" and the such. It will be more mixed. Source - Live stream.

Armor piercing only does reduced damage to light infested. This weapon does pretty well for picking off ancients in my opinion.
nekrojiji Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Nope! Thank DE for that one... yes ..... thank DE ..... because what the hell .... we researched Lanka.
Charismo Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) yes ..... thank DE ..... because what the hell .... we researched Lanka. Lanka still has certain higher base stats. Don't freak out just yet. Edited October 31, 2013 by Charismo

Armor piercing only does reduced damage to light infested. This weapon does pretty well for picking off ancients in my opinion. If I were to bring a sniper rifle to a infested mission today, which I do time to time by the way, the Lanka here would be a better bet since it will more then just ancients. The same reason why the Hikou is pretty much my favourite sidearm in lower than level 100 infested missions. Serrated blade damage is really good. But to the Despair fans out there, I can understand the argument of "the light infested are so weak, they are not of a concern even with AP damage". I'm sure with a hellfire and shred mod it should work out well enough to be not of a huge concern. I will still stick with the Lanka in infested missions though lol. At least till armour 2.0 comes along. Edited October 31, 2013 by Krysis_V
ChaoticVice777 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Lanka still has certain higher base stats. Don't freak out just yet. 1) Crit modifiers - Scale better with mods, as they affect the base modifiers in a weapon (25% vs. 20%). 2) Rate of fire - Comparable; Vectis has the major advantage of not needing to be charged before the shot is taken, but after it (translates into better overall performance). 3) Clip size - Although Vectis only has one bullet per clip, the Lanka has to charge before each shot, and requires a two second reload every 10 shots (unmodded). 4) Charged Chamber - Due to the clip capacity of the Vectis, this mod (along with its more powerful counterpart) act as pure base dmg increase - what does that mean? it means that instead of having an elemental mod (or something else) you can throw these, and not only the base damage of the weapon will increase by 40% (or 100% with the limited edition), but all currently mounted elemental mods get their effectiveness increased as well. Did forget that both mods can be stacked? 5) Projectile Velocity - Hitscan wins all the way. Although it's not hard to learn leading the target, there are times where enemies move so randomly that its incredibly hard to land a hit even with the 200 meters per second velocity of the Lanka's projectile. 6) Damage Type - Armor Piercing is generally better in weapons than Serrated Blade because light Infested are easy to kill and the damage multipliers are very useful against the Grineer and the Corpus Crewmen. Dopey Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Wish I had a Primed Chamber. That 100% damage..

Maxed out, you can railgun one shot through several Infested.
Krysis_V Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 The Lanka needs Shred anyway to reduce the charge time. Maxed out, you can railgun one shot through several Infested. The last I tested, puncture doesn't work well on non-bullet type weapons. That was last month though. I've watched a YouTube video by someone which suggest that bolt weapons and puncture works fine now. Otherwise, Shred has never really benefit the Lanka other then the charge time. The several infested is always limited to 2, and that's not because of puncture but the Split Chamber used. I think its due for a retest. Though I must say the charge requirement instead of an auto-charge for the Lanka is irksome.
HAYABU5A Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 anything one good at calculating warframes damage formulas ? im curious if a primed chamber build will actually push past the lanka (175 base +100% extra per shot vs 250 base)
