My Focus was reset and i can't get it to work

Hi, i played warframe 4 years ago and just returned, due to the update while i was gone my focus school was reset (understandable). So i reassign all those point to the focus school activate them but i can't get them to work, Im using Zanurik > Energizing Dash i just can't get it to proc or the passive orb pick up from zanurik doesn't work either. I saw in youtube video they their focus school was listed as 'primary' not 'active' like my, i was wondering did i do something wrong? do i need to max out the whole school to get it to work or do i have to equip len too (that not how it work 4 years ago it just active). Can someone enlighten me please

Here is a pic, see how the ones I want to use are red and the ones I don't want to use I unticked which makes them inactive and black over on the right.

Because you don't seem to have any waybounds unlocked you need to keep it on the school you want to be able to use the  skills from.

Say I want Zenurik skills I would set it as active if I didn't have waybounds unbound so for you yes.

click on the nodes to activate them, they arent activating, they turn red when they are and they take away from the pool

You need to click on the black lines and make them red then they're active.

If you use the other school make sure you have the waybounds active as well red.

No worries glad I could help, I found the Focus stuff back in the day a mind melt, then one day it just clicked and I knew how it all worked.
