Looks very functional and compact, maybe if you add a second floor you could have issues with the height space on the left portion? Can't really think of any other issues

Yeah, the drydock is a bit of a monster, but I'm hoping the other directions will be plenty if I need to use an elevator. Anyways, thank you for the thoughts.

edit:

So I made some revisions, this one focusing on leaving some room on the east side (opposite of the dry dock) for further expansion, including an elevator should it be needed some day.

I assume you have all necessary halls built in the basement and this would be the main floor. If that's the case, It looks like it should work. All of the important labs are in one room so basic convenience is covered.

The first one only has one route for expansion not counting the reactor hallway and the second one has two. I'd prefer more options for expansion so I'd go with the second one.

The basic structure isn't all that different than my solo dojo. I wanted more routes for expansion off the main part of the dojo though. I tried to hide my reactors around my drydock so they weren't part of the main dojo and I could add reactors as needed without using an expansion route that was off of the main dojo. Hiding reactors in the basement is also a good option.

Here is my dojo if you want to take a look.

I designed the main floor first in dojo planner so, the first and second floors are reversed in dojo planner. I have all required halls and obstacle course in the basement while the main dojo is on the second floor.

I haven't. I'm planning to deconstruct the basic hall once the reactors are in place.

Anyways, thank you for sharing the blueprint... There's some interesting ideas there.

If you're not interestes in decorating later on then it's fine.

....and this was the big debate I was having with myself. I've found a good blueprint for that, but then the question I've been asking myself is... so I really want to invest so, so many resources, and then find out I don't like decorating or that it's just too daunting.

But in my current design there is room for an elevator, and I could spam halls and open spaces up there if I did want more decorating capacity later. But, yes, for now I was focused on just getting all the stuff that can be interacted with up and running.

I will post my dojo layout for you after work. It's both functional and allows for decoration. Just for your consideration of course.

Unless they have changed things there are parent rooms that can not be destroyed.

You will need to build the clan halls in order Clan Hall > Clan Great Hall > Clan Greater Hall > Clan Grand Hall > Clan Grandest Hall and once they are all built you can't destroy the lesser halls without also destroying every hall that was built after it. For this reason I built my Clan Hall, Clan Great Hall, Clan Greater Hall and anything else I didn't want cluttering up my main dojo in the basement.

Thank you for the heads up, but I do believe this has changed. I've seen blueprints shared that don't have all of them, and the Dojo CAD app is also pretty good at catching errors/invalid constructions yet doesn't flag this.

But perchance all that is wrong and it turns out to be a requirement... well, I suppose I'll have to revise the design. But there's space for elevators so this worst case hopefully won't be an issue.

Huh, I might have to try and destroy some lesser halls. I changed my mind and had wanted to move lesser halls up to the main floor but I would have to destroy the entire dojo to do so.

Alternatively, I'll find out if my reactors finish in a few hours and I can't deconstruct mine, heh.

I like all the main halls off to the side of drydock.   A One floor dojo will be headache free.   I dont know what possible as far as layout with the removal of the clan hall rule??

Power Generators and Labs I would bury in the basement.   Labs dont have to be together or be in symetrical spots.   Labs have FAST TRAVEL now.

------------

The only rules now are to make damn sure your upper most floor is dedicated to the gigantic 2 story rooms like Inspiration halls, Sky Box, Dry Dock, Observation??

Just to follow up on this:

I tried to mark my hall for deconstruction and the game wouldn't let me. So I guess those designs without one are just theoreticals people never built - and I'll have to work at least one into my design.

Thanks for the heads up earlier.

Edit: Final followup

I was wrong yet again. None of the "clan halls" with that in their name are necessary. My issue before was I hadn't changed the spawn room.

Once I set one of the inspiration halls to the spawn room, I've been able to deconstruct every clan hall.

Pretty good but find the blank spaces cuould be use for making beautiful rooms or dueling rooms. The hall desing is great but there is a lot of blank spaces.

I do have a design that has lots of halls and blank spaces to get capacity up for decoration. I may do that eventually.

Yeah I like the single floor designs. Even the one I mentioned just above with tons of open spaces and halls off in an area to increase decoration capacity has everything on one floor. Elevators are just capacity that doesn't really need to be spent.

As for the labs, I understand they have fast travel, but in a micro dojo there's not really any reason to not centralized them. Maybe someday I'll do a design with lots of gardens and stuff but pushing out the labs would just mean building more stuff at the moment.

Ok so here's our dojo layout. Now it may look a bit nuts but the important thing is look where the Grandest Hall is(Spawn room). In that room is the Trading post and Vault and in the surrounding rooms, all the tech, research etc and access to the Drydock is all 1 room away. And the rest of the layout allows for decorating with plenty of room for expansion to the sides if needed. All the Reactors are downstairs via the elevators and upstairs are more decoration rooms and the Obstacle courses.

The competitions for dojo decoration don't care about layout.

As long as you have at least 10 rooms decorated well with teleporters for convenience.

That wasn't the point I was making?
