Not Enough Space In dojo?

So, im building a sojo (solo dojo) and im trying to get an open space for shiggles and a dry dock. But for whatever reason i have no space at any place-able node in the dojo where AFAIK there shouldnt be any space conflicts.

Is there something im unaware of that i can't see or is this a bug?

Some rooms (Great and Greater Clan Hall) are a touch wider than other rooms of similar size. Also, open spaces  extend above and below the floor they’re on, and the dry dock is a full 3 levels tall.

there’s a great dojo builder that will help you. It will tell you when there are room conflicts. Here’s my layout. Just click “new” in the menu when you want to start building your own.

Ah, so its a vertical issue im having. I was thinking that the elevators would give enough space if on another floor. Id bet going down a ways would with some elevators would solve my issue. Thanks.
