ShupFace Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 My understanding of longswords (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that they hit one target per swing. If that is the case, then why don't they do more damage?
Archistopheles Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 What is the point of longswords? The sharp end of the blade.
XxWhiteGuYxX Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I believe DE have said they noticed the love longswords need, so I'm guessing they'll work on it after the damage rework. But for now we have Dakra Prime.
TwiceDead Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I'd change the title to something like "What's the point with Melee in general?", but I am under a flawed impression that melee is absolutely useless at later levels. Useful for slingshotting yourself across the room though.
ArcSynder Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I remember people suggesting that DE should make longswords exceptional at blocking in order to give them a niece role.
kiwicanfly Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 to gain mastery points of cause XD but yea, melee in general needs a buff.
__Kanade__ Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Ether Longsword is one of the better longswords until you can find a Dakra Prime.
fatpig84 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) Machete wraith is currently the best long sword at the moment since it can utilize both charge and melee spam builds (it rivals Dark sword in charged factor and bests out the Ether sword in serrated blade slashy dps).... And with a small AOE. But that's about it. Edited November 2, 2013 by fatpig84
