-Moctezuma-
So in the new war trailer, we saw Alad V giving orders to the corpus, and that's all good but... 1 - didn't alad v get infested 2 - didn't he get murdered by hunhow in second dream quest 3 - didn't we killed alad in jupiter
Mints
1) Alad V is the only known person to deinfest themselves. 2) Hunhow went after him and so did the Acolytes. He escaped the former and we protected him from the latter. 3) There has never been any indication that completed Assassination missions against plot relevant characters are canon. Alad has always been unusually keen in his endeavors and always one step ahead. Based on his scientific acumen and his ability to actually cure himself of Infestation he may be far older and far wiser than anyone realizes. He always seems to have a bottomless wallet and has even managed to go rogue and manage his own fleet even when exiled by the Board. Guy's definitely more than he appears to be. As for quests there's some problems that basically come from old operations that came with a story but those stories were a one time thing so if someone missed or didn't read about them then the story is kind of a mess and they should really fix that

Every other boss is either a proxy robot and can be rebuilt, is shown to escape/be revived (eg Vor), or never appears again in the story after their Assassination. That's probably why Nef Anyo doesn't have a boss fight yet.
DrivaMain
These old operation missions needs to be either converted to a quest or Upload the lore into the Codex so new players do not get confused.

All those old operations need to be playable and reworked for a proper canon time line.
Sojufueled
Alad confused me a lot when I started. I wasn't around for the Valk event.

NocheLuz
The characters we assassinate are all dead after the mission ends. Except for the Grineer as they can clone those bosses back up again. We killed Vor in mercury and the void took him, while Vor in Ceres didn't have many memories about us as they just clone him. Same with the one who with him. The Corpus mostly are proxies and/or generic soldiers so they can replace anyway. Also, I'm pretty sure the Zanuka can revive Alad V. So I think either there is another Zanuka that comes rescue him after we left, or there are plots that we didn't know about...

_Euphoria_
Yeaj I dont like this inconsistency about assasinated characters showinp up later again. If you dont want your characters to be killed in those mission, just nake it clear that they escaped after the fight like Vay Hek mission from Earth

If you don't want us to consider Zanuka can revive Alad V as canon... just take out this ability off the game.

Assassination missions being the case in point. Things in lore, primarily frames themselves, very much do not work as shown in gameplay.

There is more than it appears, but ironically it has nothing to do with Alad. It has everything to do with Hunhow Basically Hunhow neither knows nor cares what "Orokin" means. He thinks it's a species, not a social caste. In truth he's completely wrong, but again he doesn't care. This ties into Hunhow's further delusions, where he was supposedly a farmer, but was so good at torturing people and killing things he was appointed fleet admiral. He even envisions himself as the "Destroyer of Worlds" when he's just an ignorant warhawk This in turn contrasts with his daughter Natah, who believes that the Sentients were good guys who were completely justified in a preemptive strike against the Orokin Empire for the greater good of life as a whole. In truth the Sentients are just evil genocidal killbots no better than the Orokin, and are lying to Natah to make her feel better. Alad V is just a (un)lucky moron. But he makes a great catalyst to expose how insane the Sentients are 8 minutes ago, NocheLuz said: So, logically speaking... we didn't assassinated them? It's kinda confuse... In canon, we have basically failed every assassination mission Vay Hek escapes (twice). Alad V survives. Captain Vor's first battle, he either escapes, or is ressurected in a fresh body. The Infested grow new bodies from Larvae (according to the Sorties). The only assassination missions we have ever succeeded was against the Grineer Queen, and against Captain Vor the second time

In the canon there are plenty of other Tenno running around. Not only is Rell a Z-kid himself, but there were multiple Z-kid bullies bullying him, so that's at least three more Tenno right there. Plus all the older lore mentioning other Tenno in relays, other Tenno on a "Tenno council," etc. But in canon, you are always the most important Tenno. You were one of the Lotus's six bodyguards, you were the one to be captured by Vor's Ascaris, you were the first one to be woken up out of the Reservoir, you were the one to kill the Red Kween. And in my playthrough, I was the one who canonically did all those things
