what do you all think of separating the PVP modes from the warframe to have a new game? creates a mode similar to search and destroy from codm game, the target of destruction could be a life module warehouse. Creates a mode to escort a machine to a location. sets intercept mode to pvp and  battle royale in orbis vallis

PvP in games that aren't designed around PvP usually have very bad PvP. It's better to focus more energy on making the PvE content that the game specializes in better than to try to make the PvP it wasn't designed for "good".

Not to mention no one really likes Warframe's PvP, it'd be better off if they moved the PvP cosmetics/mods/etc elsewhere, if not gutting them outright. We already have some Conclave-exclusive mods available thru Nightwave exchange.

DE tried PvP with Keystone/The Amazing Eternals. It just isn't their bread and butter.

I'm sure they could spend resources and monetize a game the way Fortnite and Call of Duty do, but it would come at the cost of Warframe which would be incredibly dumb to risk from a business perspective.

Afaik the game was quite promising and the devs did good while taking in direct feedback from players.

The problem it got cancelled was most likely a marketing issue. The game is barely known beyond the Warframe bubble to begin with. They stopped development with Lawbreakers' downfall while Overwatch, Paladins and what not other clone kept the engaged hero shooter players busy at that time. So we got a late entrance to a saturated subgenre market with a peaking AAA francise game and not much marketing reach beyond Warframe. Which, already back then, is notorious for having gathered a toxic bunch of anti competition/challenge/pvp mindsetted reddit rep farmers, trolls and even content creators through the years. Doesn't help that lazy people been parroting their opinions like crazy without getting an own impression on the reality. One could go down deeper the spiral and lay bare how a drastic increase in player numbers with such an oppressive, constantly *@##$ing behavior has driven DE to a lot of issues they struggle with these days, but thats another story.

So Keystone was on a promising path before being cancelled and not to forget Unreal Tournament... You sure its not their bread and butter? Facts show the opposite.

Even Conclave is a highly potent arena-esque shooter version that keeps drawing in Quake, UT, GunZ and players from other shooters. It might not appeal to everyone.. which game even does lol.. but not receiving updates or at least fixes for the past 3 years and 8 months, when the game mode is directly tied to the pve code through some multipliers and new exploits keep appearing with every rework can't be healthy. Some little dev work done and it'll be fine again, but it'll need them to move a pinky first.

Making Conclave a standalone game? The idea itself isn't that bad because it would eliminate most issues Conclave struggles with and lots of players have asked for that within the past already. There even were petitions when 1.0 got reworked. But I don't think it would survive on its own out there considering how niche fast paced arena shooters have become these days.

I think that @Loxyen is right, the issue was one of marketing. At the time when The Amazing Eternals was released, I was playing a lot of Warframe - both PvE and Conclave. I was active on the Warframe forums at the time, and also conversed a lot with players in-game (especially in Conclave).

Unfortunately I never even learned that it existed until it was already shut down. It's possible that some series of coincidences caused me to miss an otherwise robust marketing campaign, but I think this is unlikely.

Deathstares in raids, which vast majority of players first learned of their existence when DE announced their removal

That's kind of a running theme with DE isn't it. You're not remembering wrong: there wasn't really a marketing campaign to speak of. I was fairly active in forums at the time and I only heard in passing, from both forum users and smaller gaming press outlets, as if it was one of several possible side projects DE was conceptualizing and not, like, an actual multiplayer game that had gone into development.

It's not that surprising considering the absurdity of marketing budget in multiplayer spaces. Even if it's clear DE never developed Amazing Eternals as the next big thing, a more effective marketing would have given it a chance it deserved. Still a shame since I think a variety of such niche titles is what keeps the genre healthy and robust.

Would love to be able to play the PVP game modes but in a PVE setting.

Thats why i play Warframe cuz i like PVE. Why not make the option to opt for PVE conlave game modes.

DE wont do it since it is a dead end and wont make them any money. they are too focused on the next prime and update to get more money/plat sales.

Or how to forget about Opticor Variant, that free for all mode that was used to put everyone on an even ground by givng us predefined loadouts, no powers, no passives, same EHP and the same weapon (an opticor that would insta kill on hit with a charge that felt similar to opticor vandal years before it existed) which is literally what many players ask about when talking about warframe pvp (usually in the shape of "dog days pvp", but imo, the soaktron would be too clunky for most people).

Same for the PvP events with similar mechanics (Hearts&Arrows, Quicksteel, Snowday Showdown) that would also attract new players to PvP but were never ran again thanks to the people described by Loxyen's post.

There are some PvE modes with more of a PvP arena feel already, like Rathuum (FFA) and The Index (not available as a PvP mode, though). They even added Dog Days as an event for it.

Yeh i see what you mean but was just thinking in line with the current PVP game modes there should be a PVE option that is all. I would like to try Lunaro or capture the flag and the only option i currently have is to force some mates or clan members to join me. For a game that allows you the option solo game play through everything and to then have this seems little odd.

DE had the right idea with Lunaro practice setting just need to expand on that with AI

I guess its more of a 'like to have' since conclave is the only section of the game that i have little interaction with since its a dead end.
