I have done the math and with a drop chance of 20% there is only a .47% chance of not having one spawn with an ephemera after 24 of them. If I new how to post images here from my phone, I would. I habe never been this angry at this game before. I am blown away that this is even possible. I am now on my way to kill sister number 20 and hope for #21 to spawn with an ephemera, but this is bull. I am using rhino prime, tenet arca plasmor, pyranna prime, and twin krohkur if that matters. I am soloing it cause i got tired of people stealing my candidate. I do not get all of the kills because I don't need to to spawn a sister, but maybe i have to if I want an ephemera and i have been doing it wrong all along. Please let me know if i have. This is why I'll keep saying that doing math on this kind of RNG doesn't mean anything, because it's still RNG. It's the same idea behind the people who make math for "pulling levers" in a casino... Thank you for your time, An Unlucky Tenno I feel for you, but the only way to remain sane playing an RNG game is to not take things personally and get emotional when you get a string of bad luck. Your calculation is correct, but think of it this way: 1 in about 213 players will have your exact experience. You were just unfortunately one of those. Also remember that past experiences have no bearing on future odds. So the odds of an ephemera spawning with your next lich is still 20%. IMO, the only way to spawn larvlings / candidates is to play solo. There really is no reason to play with others, especially in a PUG because you do not know if they are looking to spawn them as well. That, and try to multitask. Do not accept just any larvling / candidate that spawns. Pick the ones with the weapons you are missing or plan to keep for valence fusion. So even if the Lich / Sister spawns without an ephemera, you still get something out of dealing with them. Remember that the spawning mission only takes about 3 minutes whereas dealing with the Lich / Sister takes hours. This is great advice if I wasn't trying to get the impact ephemera. I rarely have one last more than an hour and a half. The trick is to always have oull in your last slot, so you dont have to spend as much time learning the code and farming the requium relics. If anyone wants to join me tomorrow on Xbox in speed running the sisters, I will gladly teach my ways. Im on moble so quoting is a pain in the rear, but thank you for that first paragraph. I know that there isnt anything I can do, but when the chance of me getting this far and not getting one gets this low it feels like a "f you in particular" senario. Oldskinzz Posted August 13, 2021 Share Posted August 13, 2021 This may be anecdotal but my Lich ephemeras didn't take undue effort, got all of them after around 20 liches before the Sisters update. Sisters on the other hand, currently 0 ephemeras from 8 Sisters. 4 more liches for the new kuva weapons gave 1 extra ephemera. Feels like Sisters have a low(er) rate of spawning with ephemeras. Instead of bashing your brains against the wall until something useful comes out, just try this instead. 1) Give up on trying to farm specific thing. 2) Do reliable thing that gets you stuff you can sell for plat and use that plat to buy liches with the ephemeras you specifically want. 3) ??? 4) Profit. That's how I keep burnout away , try for a reasonable amount of time , if I really want it I will buy it. If I am just completing the collection I will just passively work towards it. Kaokasalis Posted August 13, 2021 Share Posted August 13, 2021 It took me tearing through 55 Sisters before I had every Tenet ephemera and every Tenet weapon obtainable from Sisters at 60%. Out of those 55, only 12 had ephemeras. There really isn't much you can do except to keep trying trying. I recommend staying on the same element for Sisters until you get one with the desired ephemera and then switch to the next element after that Sister. Or if your intrinsics are high enough, Have the final confrontation in veil proxima during a void storm and using the 1 in 5 average. (PSN)slightconfuzzled Posted October 26, 2021 Share Posted October 26, 2021 I know this is an older post, so OP might already know now, but you can valence fuse two weapons and pick the element you want, as well as get a stat improvement. They changed that system with Sisters update so its less restrictive. So impact weapons you might want to fuse are still worth getting when trying for an impact ephemera. Might even help with odds (I am not intuitively good enough at maths/stats to know if thats accurate to say though) Oh and Impact Spirex is decent! Sorry for your bad luck either way. I still need two more ephemera, I have done around 60 Liches and 60 Sisters, so not as lucky as the guy who did 55, but I enjoy doing Sisters/Liches and I got the main ephemera I want. In my case Ive been spawning my Sister's on Venus's Sabotage Mission (Ishtar) because I'm the only one dumb enough to Farm the Xiphos Orbiter rather than But it (it's not even that expensive).... But as it turns out.... It actually dropped ... That's right... After 2 Years of God knows how many attempts I finally got The Xiphos Fuselage Blueprint 😱.... Do people actually do this ? 🤔 From what I know, both converted Sister/Lich can only be traded once, so if you traded the Sister/Lich to another player, they can never trade you back the Sister/Lich even if they decided to convert the Sister/Lich. I know the Impact Spirex is good because it has a forced Impact Proc and can make use of Hemorrhage well. I don't think the fire rate for an Impact Detron will benefit its use of Hemorrhage as much, unless you reduce its fire rate, but I have not tested it! I went with a Heat Detron myself! Oh and like the other user mentioned, unfortunately you can only Trade once. Which makes sense, would be too convenient if you had friends, all focused on getting just one of the Ephemera, then just converted and rotated around the circle, to get them all. Could be good to sell though!
