I dunno about primary Vermi, but secondary Vermi definitely has its bugs. Amprex is really good if you can get the right build for it, proven by it's .5 riven dispo

Upside of Vermi: slash and innate toxin
Downside of Amprex: no slash

We have hunter munitions to counter the lack of innate slash :)

the main things Primary Vermisplicer has over Amprex is Range, and a bit more Base Damage/Crit Damage.
plus the Tendrils can/will have a different Damage composition from the main Beam, which could be useful if you take advantage.

however Amprex has better AoE within its Range.

If you have access to all the kitgun arcanes and the right parts the vermisplicer primary can be stronger than amprex, suggest to build for hybrid with more focus on critical chance as beam weapons don't need as much status.

thanks to its innate toxin and slash focus it can also be built to be more versatile against all factions.

There were a few bugs with the aiming of things behind an object (like bulwarks , shields , nullifier bubbles) but it's not noticeable since a few updates.

Title. Which is better?

Also, I heard Vermisplicer was buggy, is it still true?

Vermisplicer. Innate toxin (pure toxin + heavy caliber pwns SP Corpus, viral+Hunter Munitions erases Grineer) Additionally, use recharge arcane to never have to reload. And it has some homing for primary beam, makes it much easier to use while aimgliding. Big advantage if you try to take less tanky frames to Steel Path.
