Riven Unveiling

I'm trying to unveil my first riven mod. The requirement is: complete an extermination mission with level 30 or higher enemies with a hobbled dragon key equipped without being detected. I played Adaro, Sedna using Ivara Prime with Dread. Hobbled key equipped. I used an energy restore at the start and didn't turn my 3 off for the entire mission. I never bumped into anyone. I feel like I've ran it perfectly several times now but the mod is still hidden. Am I doing something wrong?

You must install the riven mod onto your weapon and bring that weapon with you to the mission, you don't have to kill with that weapon.

If you had an invader like stalker that usually fails it too, Very annoyingly. But yah most my fails are wrong/no dragon key or forgetting the riven.

If you don't put the enemies to sleep first and they see a team mate fall, they will be alerted and you will fail. If you've equipped the riven on your weapon correctly, this is why. Also check if there's a requirement to be in solo mode on the riven, that can also happen.

Thanks for the help everyone, I didn't know the riven had to be equipped. Is the same true for others like finding syndicate medallions?

Anything that revolves around challenges and rivens, its the same process.

Equip on the weapon (and take the weapon with you, obviously) and complete the mission while doing the challenges.

This is not true, I've done this riven many times with Loki.

Same here but if they see a body you will fail.

Detected is if they see you or hear your weapon. If you're invisible with a silenced weapon it doesn't matter if they see bodies.
