Why TF is sort by Rank from high to low

I mean let's face it, we all have at least dozens of weapons in our inventory that's rank 30, the only reason we use "sort by rank" is to find and equip lower rank weapons to level up. So, the fact that "sort by rank" put all the rank 30 weapons on top just doesn't make any sense.

eh, someone might want it the other way? where they can ensure they don't pick something that isn't fully Leveled? hell, i could imagine some people would even prefer if it took Forma into account (as a pseudo 30 Levels per use), so that people could sort their Inventory based on how much they have invested into it.
(actually, does it already do that? i might have a vague memory of yes but i rarely use this mode personally)

I guess DE could just add a toggle for Ascending <-> Descending next to the sorting choice.

While your reasoning is fine, the sort by rank system also applies to mods which would be heavily inconvenienced by showing you lowest rank mods first. I don't find this to be a big deal because you can just scroll to the bottom if you want lower ranked stuff.

They could have filters like the market has to hide max ranked items.

I always thought its because if it was the other way around a bunch of weapons we dont own yet would be at the top.
