**The following questions refer to the specific instancing allocations encountered by premade groups when initially entering a Relay instance.**
The group is initially formed from the orbiter using the friends list or other chat/social functions.
When we click on a relay on the star chart we are offered a relay drop down similar to the following based upon the number of current instances:
Strata 1: Busy
Strata 2: Calm
If Strata 1 is selected and it has room then all the players in the group will end up in the same instance of the Relay. If however the relay does not have room for the entire group then the remaining overflow of players in that group will be sent to a different instance of that relay. This automated allocation of the affected group members to separate instances when the initial selection overflows is the subject of my query.
So Mary, Bob, Ted, and Sally are in a premade group.
Strata 1: Busy is selected
That instance of the relay only has room for two players thus Mary and Bob end up in Strata 1 (now full).
Ted and Sally are automatically allocated to a separate instance of Strata relay.
Query 1: Do Ted and Sally end up in Strata 2 or ghosted sub instance such as Strata 1B?
Scarlet Spear and Orphix Venom events demonstrated an issue where players could end up in separate instances of the same relay even though they entered and still remained in the same group.
When players in premade groups are allocated to separate instances of the relay sometimes they remain grouped like above and sometimes they get dropped from the group.
Query 2: What is the intermittent fault that leads to players to occasionally being dropped from the group when allocated to separate instances?
The purpose behind these queries is for accuracy in further analysis of a possible bug.
