We used to have some eight person matches - raids. They were designed for eight people, but you had a much better time with just four. Even in the normal game modes I prefer just two people over four, eight would be a nightmare.

 

What is boring about having a squad of four people? You can play with less and see if that helps. I don’t think we want eight people in missions.

for what reason other then you have more friends than you can play with at the same time do you need this realy and even with 4 people there are lots of problems
the game was designed for 4 player teams 8 players would be most likely to mutch and afking would increase because most missions only need 4 people to deal with the things in the optimal way

It only takes one player with a really bad connection to desync enemies so badly that the others can't hurt them. Plus, the game is already pretty easy to steamroll with 4 players, so 8 would just cause unnecessary clutter, connection issues, and lag.
