An item got traded away even when I removed it from the list.

I was trading with a friend to swap syndicate mods. I showed my friend an emote from one of the syndicates, specifically the Red Veil Piloting Emote in the trade box. After that I removed it from the trading box and proceeded the mod trade. However, my friend said that the emote did not get removed on his end and the trading confirmation screen also states that it is still there. Although on my screen and my confirmation screen, the emote does not exist. When the trade is completed, the emote disappeared from my inventory and got traded away.
