Hey everyone,

After an eternity trying to get holokeys with BAD DROP RNG I finally have my first 40 and I'm wondering which weapon seems to be the most fun to use and with which bonus element toxin I'm guessing.

Looking at them at the moment I'll wait until the timer rolls over the bonus at present seems bad and very low to what I've seen in the past the other stats on the weapon don't change I'm guessing.

Tenet Grigori a bonus 33% electricity, just sounds like a modified poormans Zenistar

Tenet Livia a bonus 48% elec is alright if you were after electricity, not to bad with slash would be nice with toxin.

Tenet Exec seems ok, good crit but at present only a bonus 32% electricity.

Tenet Agendus will be the last one I get looking at the stats the energy disks seem novel at least it has toxin though low.

 

So how has everyone else found them?

Fun to use or just MR fodder?
 

Only reason I'm asking is it took me so long to get 40 holokeys it will be a long long long time before the next 40 at this bad drop rate, I get some for one mission then it doesn't matter how many missions I do after the first no more will drop, which is sad considering how much I like Railjack.

I think your plan to go for the highest stats is the correct one, but IMHO the element itself doesn't matter too much.  The way that I figure it, if I don't like the weapon then I won't use it / perform valence fusion on it, so the element doesn't matter.  If I like it, then I will probably want to max it eventually.  Since I can pick the element on fusion now, I'll just wait for a "good element" next time.

So having tried all 4, I have to say that my favorite is the Agendus, by far.  Its Hadouken gimmick (heavy attack) is basically an Arca Plasmor shot, and the only drawback is that it cannot be spammed (a spinning hammer hit will slip between each shot).

The Grigori and Livia are okay -- I kept them for now, but am kind of lukewarm about them.

As for the Exec...  It just didn't groove with me.  The Slam Shockwave gimmick was okay, but I don't know if it was the stance I used or what, it just didn't feel very effective.  And given the weird double-bladed Gillette closer shave design, it felt more like I was swinging around a Masseter-like Kanabo than a Great Sword.  So I sold it.  _{If I were to be perfectly honest, I probably just didn't like how it looked...}

Tenet Grigori - I don't have high hopes since the crit multiplier is so low, but who knows. Only practice will tell if its competitive with the Reaper Prime/Stropha.

Tenet Livia - No special trait really, but its the new best 2-handed Nikana.

Tenet Exec - Special trait sucks, and stat-wise I don't see it being better than the Gram Prime.

Tenet Agendus - Looks like it would be competitive with the Stropha, but sadly its not. Otherwise its more-than-likely the new best Sword and Shield.

Only have one more weapon to buy the Tenet Exec waiting on a good roll, I have over 100 holokeys to sit on and wait for better rolls.

Finally got enough rare Holohensteeth to get one more weapon, this time I went with the Tenet Grigori mainly because it had a bonus of 58% Mag, though I feel ripped off, someone at DE rounded down the bonus, when you go to equip it the bonus is only 57.5%.

Buy each one twice.

one when it's your element choice (any %),

one when it's at 55%+ (any element).

 

Fuse them to produce your chosen element at 60%.

much time camping for each to show up.....

Yeah I only get them at the biggest, makes it easier to take out to 60%

Only able to get one every few weeks, the drop rate is horrid.

Thank you everyone, I'll ponder some more over them but I guess it'll come down to stats and look in the end.

Yep considering how BS the drop rate is to get holokeys, I will wait and hope for a good roll, yes I like now how we can choose which element when fusing so if it a big roll but not the one you're after it's good to be able to change it later on, I do that with the sisters gun grab them all let fusion sort them out. :)

Yeah the TG CM is bad on that, though having base slash is a good start I guess.

The TL's gimmick doesn't interest me that much really not bad crit and slash.

The TE at least looks like a weapon, the twin blades good crit, hmmm time will tell.

The TA has ok stats and the gimmick depending how much damage they do might be just a novelty factor.

 

Anyway eventually I'll get them all, I just hope I'm not in a retirement home by then, damn drop rates of holokeys is horrid, if I didn't already have some I'd say BS they don't exist.

I think the agendus is the best of the bunch , (smooth stance and powerful gimmick) the heavy should be used only when the enemies line up well.

Followed by grigori which has guaranteed slash on heavy attacks and an acceptable stance combo.

Followed by the Livia (poor stance but good stats) and finally the exec which just underperforms for some reason (the shockwave also causes ocassional ragdolling which is counterproductive)

On the overframe site, grigori is voted as an S tier melee, with Agendus at A tier. I have a tox grigori and its fantastic,

I also have the Agendus with elec and while there's no slash procs, the elec procs are a nice utility. Something different than the usual viral/slash melee

 

AFAIK toxin is probably the most useful element on all them, except agendus which is elec. Im waiting for a 50+% livia and exec and plan to get them toxin.

I would Avoid Toxin

since most of the time you're going to want more than one element

Viral+Heat is pretty overpowered for example

but since the Tenet Bonus element is applied last, for that particular combo you'll want a Heat bonus

with cold and toxin being added as Mods.

Tenet Livia I like as well and it's gimmick with combo counter, I've used it in Steel Path no problem at low rank, even though it's got me thrown off a cliff a couple of times doing combos. lol

Tenet Agendus I'm loving it now, I have 1 forma on it, it's a thrashing machine with the backup of the heavy attack, both modes kill quite well.

The mods on it at the moment are condition overload, blood rush, amalgam organ shatter, killing blow, quickening, virulent scourge and vicious frost, once I put more forma on it I'll think it will really take off.

I have the bonus of 54.3% Heat so at the moment I have viral and radiation running on it.

I put a R5 arcane strike on the frame and it goes right off doing combos mashing my way through a pack of enemies.

I am waiting on a radiation bonus agendus so I can run viral, rad , electric build.

I too have a 54% heat at the moment.

I'm not buying a single one of them until the element I want comes up above 50%.  These Holokeys are way too hard to get with this garbage RNG for me to waste them.  I wouldn't buy any of those, I would wait until what you want comes up.  

It's insane that you have this awful slog just to get the keys then you have to wait potentially months or more just for something good to come up.  It's completely unacceptable.

The holokey drop is really bad but once I get the last weapon and work out which one I like I'll only be upgrading the ones I like.

I've been doing the Veil mission skirmish 90 - 100 solo and have a few more now but yes it's slow, the extra bonus is the credits from the missions are huge with this double credit weekend. 

then the stats don't match what's advertised when you do get a weapon.

Well I got some holokeys after a long long time doing runs and bought myself two so far, going to be a long time to get the next 40. 

 

Tenet Livia bought it the week of my thread with 48% Electricity, it's only at R31 so far, it goes quite well against Steel Path and I love the combo stops counting down when you use a gun.

Tenet Agendus bought it this week with 54.3% Heat, Final Harbinger stance is the best from memory and considering I've only just got it today date of post and slapped on a couple of mods, I think it could be good once it's pimped out

The so called energy disks is a visual joke, ^{(unless at full rank it shines, doubt it)} the description no where near matches what it spits out, to what I've observed it's basically just a melee version of a Arca Plasmor with the sound and a badly toned down visual, disappointing really I expected to see some disks flying out in the direction of the enemies, not just one blob of energy. 

Oh well back to ranking them up, making use of my 1400 day login I took the 7 days pile of boosters, plus Blessing it should really help.

p.s doing void storms while ranking up nidus sucks balls, 454 armour, 1,347 Health, and Adaptation if it wasn't for my stacks I would have died twice to the damn things popping in and double exploding in my face straight away, think it's back to my tank gal Hildryn. lol

For end game, the exec is terrible, same for the agendus. Tenet livia and tenet grigori are both slash weapons, so those should be the ones u buy. Tenet livia is the smart choice, as its the best 2h nikana, while tenet grigori is worse than reaper prime

That's the good thing about them, get the highest now and just change it later on with the choice option 1 or option 2. 

Though with the way holokeys drop it'll be another months again before I get enough.

... though on the bright side, both 58% and 57.5% are just one valence fusion away from 60%.  Only have to watch out if he sells a 54.5% as 55% (not sure if possible though).

1)Just don't farm them. DE monitors what people are doing and once they see lack of uptake they will mend the situation.
