Yvywn - Witchcraft Warframe Concept

This is Yvywn (pronounced: Yvonne), the bewitching, mistress of the coven.

 

Stats are WIP.

Passive - Mana Flux

Yvywn gains 50% of the energy from Energy Orbs picked up by her allies inside her Affinity Range, and vice-versa.

Spellcraft - 25 energy

Tap to freely cycle select between Intensify (Strength/Damage), Stretch (Range/Multishot/Melee Range), and Continuity (Duration/Fire Rate/Melee Attack Speed). Hold to expend energy to enchant the bonus onto yourself, amplifying the chosen weapon stat. The bonus is dispelled on the next ability cast to empower its Ability stat. Spellcraft's potency increases with each different ability cast prior to enchantment.

  • Spellcraft applies a 25% bonus to weapon damage, multishot/melee range, or fire rate/melee attack speed, depending on which one you selected (Intensify, Stretch, Continuity).
    • Damage bonus behaves like a Serration/Hornet Strike/Pressure Point mod. Multishot, Melee Range, Fire Rate, and Melee Attack Speed are the same.
  • Each different ability you cast before enchanting Spellcraft will increase the bonus by another 25%, up to a cap of 100%. This is not affected by mods.
  • Enchantment duration = 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 seconds (duration affected). Duration ends early when you cast a different ability to boost that ability's stat.
  • Spellcraft's Ability stat bonus doesn't affect itself if you cast it again. Recasting Spellcraft will renew its duration to full and apply the selected bonuses if you cycle-select to a different one (e.g. Intensify enchantment is already active on you. You tap Spellcraft to select Stretch enchantment, then hold to apply it to yourself. Stretch replaces Intensify as the enchantment).

Betwixt - 50 energy

Cast a charm onto foes to bind and share their fate. A portion of damage and all status effects are shared between them. Each death becomes twice as painful to another.

  • Prioritizes an enemy on your aiming reticle, but can cast within a 90 degrees cone in front of you. Cast the ability within a 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 meters long cone (range affected); if at least one enemy is in the cone, but others are not, then the ability searches for other enemies in a radius (15 / 20 / 25 / 30 meters) around the target.
  • Affects up to 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 targets (strength affected). Up to 25% damage (strength affected) dealt to one target is dealt to other targets. Status effects applied after the Betwixt charm are duplicated onto the entire group of enemies.
  • Betwixt lasts for 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 seconds (duration affected).
  • The lethal damage that deals the killing blow on a Betwixt target is multiplied by 2 and dealt in full to the other surviving targets.
  • Can affect up to two groups of enemies. Newest cast removes the oldest group if going over the limit.

Cauldron - 75 energy

Tap to surround Yvywn in a maelstrom of volatile elemental magic, or hold to conjure a bubbling swamp where she desires. Cauldron's damage and status effects switch between the four primary elements with each passing half-second. In the maelstrom, enemies become staggered by weapon attacks. In the swamp, enemies become slowed until partially submerged.

  • Tap to create an aura around yourself with a radius of 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 meters (range affected) that follows you for 10 / 12 / 15 / 20 seconds (duration affected). Weapon attacks dealt to enemies inside the maelstrom are guaranteed a stagger effect on each hit.
  • Hold to create a swamp at the location on the aiming reticle with a radius of 15 meters (not affected) that lingers for 10 / 12 / 15 / 20 seconds (duration affected). Enemies that stand inside the swamp area are progressively slowed like Baruuk's Lull, until they can no longer move and partially sink into the ground exposing their upper body to attack.
  • Both modes deal 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 damage (strength affected) and 50% status chance each 0.5 seconds (not affected). Damage type switches between Cold, Electric, Heat and Toxin (in alphabetical order for tap, reverse alphabetical order for hold) every 0.5 seconds that goes by.
  • Only one mode can be active at a time. Recast to switch modes or refresh duration/relocate the swamp.

Hex - 100 energy

Tap to unleash six waves of catastrophic power that expand outward to form a hexagram that entraps enemies within. Hold to focus the waves to crash forward washing over enemies in your path. Each wave inflicts the different damage and status effects of the six secondary elements. Allies washed over by the waves become temporarily immune to damage and status effects of those damage types.

  • Tap to create six waves that rapidly expand from Yvywn up to 25 meters away (not affected). Each wave while expanding deals 500 / 600 / 700 / 800 damage (strength affected) and guaranteed status effect. Each "pizza slice" of the hexagram deals a different secondary elemental damage type (Blast, Corrosive, Gas, Magnetic, Radiation, Viral, in alphabetical order). Once fully expanded, form a hexagonal arena that prevents enemies within from leaving the area, with the zone itself lasting for 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 seconds (duration affected). Allies and Yvywn standing on a "pizza slice" zone become immune to damage and status effect of that damage type.
    • New enemies may enter the hexagram, but are blocked from leaving by the aura-like walls at the borders.
  • Hold to blast out six consecutive waves toward the aiming reticle, in a 60 degrees cone (not affected) that spans a length of 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 meters (range affected). Each wave deals 500 / 600 / 700 / 800 damage (strength affected) and guaranteed status effect. Each wave deals a different secondary elemental damage type (Viral, Radiation, Magnetic, Gas, Corrosive, Blast in reverse alphabetical order). Allies gain damage and status immunity of those damage types for 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 seconds (duration affected) when washed over by each wave.
    • All six waves are blasted out one by one during the casting animation. Casting speed mods will increase the speed.
  • Only one mode can be active at a time (tap disappears when you use hold).

ok so first... baba yaga frame... fkn love the concept

passive is broken. just image 4 of these frames at the same time.

spellcraft is abit broken if diminishing returns don't apply, pointless if they do.

betwixt sounds like khoras ensare but kind of cool 

cauldron is actually really nice, 4 elements actually get the wiccan vibes off this abilty i like its mechanic too but it would be better (in my opinion) if the 4 elements were actually used, so fire, water, earth and air... think: ember-nehza/hydroid-yarelli/atlas-oberon/zephyr-banshee

would also be really cool if each type of elemental kill added some kind of stacks to the cauldron, like a witch chanting eye of newt, foot of toad... etc.

 

id suggest making spellcraft a cycling fire/water/earth/air attack... like embers fireball, volts shock etc.

betwixt as it is

cauldron castable aoe, get spellcraft+betwixt kills to add to the cauldron, kills buff aoe

 

and hex... ok so before i clicked the reveal contents, it thought you were going to go with:

a nyx mind control meets voodoo doll nova antimatter controlled ragdoll

with a damage tick, a venari style "attack target" input and a death curse finish... i was disappointed...

 

although i could see the mechanics you suggested for hex working for cauldron... when its "maxed out"

you called it hex... i thought actual hex... thats on me.
