If Octavias are negatively affecting the experience of other players then yes you should be able to mute them. And you can: Excessive teammate particle effects can be reduced as well: The precedent has already been set that other players shouldn't be able to negatively impact another player's experience. If someone doesn't like noisy Octavias or eye-cancer particle effects or goofy bat wings then they should absolutely be able to avoid them, and in two of those cases already can. Letting players opt out of obviously silly content like candy canes and snow clouds and pumpkin heads also means that all of that content can be permanent without making Geoff and the creative team sad. I could wear my bunny ears all year round without making any of the purists upset. If you'd like to read the thread I linked it goes into more detail about why and how this option could exist. No one would be hiding your Octavias unless DE added a Hatsune Miku colab skin for her, and even if they did the only people who wouldn't see it are the people who have chosen to fully opt out. All they'd see is the default skin. Which is A) something you'd never be able to tell unless you asked them and B) not your business in the first place.
