That aside, will this actually be possible to reach or similar to Glassmaker where some crazy glass bois grind was necessary to cap out? Not that I like either scenario, first meaning another ~4 months of Intermisson, the latter just feels bad.

Post Thought: I know this is done as a means of reminding yourselves, "we need to hustle and get this done (for the next episode/intermission)".  But the question is that why do we -- the end users and end consumers -- have to have it micromanaged to remind you; when in the old alert system -- it was run on a specific set of timers that you left be for years?

It'd be nice if there were a system to automatically rerun old seasons, bringing back the special npc spawns, and the end of season missions. I'd especially love to see the zealots return from season 3 in some way.

as long as you looking into eid bugs - don't forget to fix spawn inside condrixes on post nw PoE. and projectile weapons not being able to hit eidolon during going out of water (since shields can be destroyed during water stage so limbs should be destroyable too, yet for last 100 ages since poe rework only hitscan weapons can do this). and maybe, finally, look at vomvs moving speed being a 10% of as it should be.

Thanks for reducing the volume of electric status effect. I can play Wisp again. 

I'm still not sold on having an audio cue for status effects on enemies though. It's just more random white noise. If it was just when our frames have an electric status proc that would make sense, we could react but, if is a constant sound from enemies we have no idea when we get an electric proc.

 

Also idk what's going on with decoration placement now. It seems most options were removed and the system was dumbed down significantly, maybe I'm missing something in options but everything auto snaps now and you can't rotate incrementally. I'm sure there is more going on too but I have not looked for all the changes yet.

My dudes, this update brought an eidolon bug with it. Every time an eidolon screams when its joint is destroyed, people lose multiplayer connection are kicked to Cetus. I am not the only person experiencing this. At the moment, eidolons cannot be completed.

You know, I want to complain about another extension on a filler Nightwave that was suppose to be a temporary measure, but I just realized that it would be like complaining about a hangnail when your hand is caught in a meat grinder. DE needs to start following a schedule for content like this. Now I'm not going to say this is how it is, but that this is how it feels from my personal perspective: Expected deadlines are missed, community forgives. Deadlines are missed by more and more, community still forgives. This part is fine, the part I'm having issue is now it feels like DE is calculating the community forgiveness of their inability to keep a timely schedule into the equation, so things are becoming even MORE delayed.

Priorities need to be set, and adhered to. The games-as-service business model is not the rare bird it was 8 years ago, and you can no longer coast on the reputation of being the trendsetter/pathfinder anymore. 

I have loyally played this game and promoted it for 8 years, but now, at what should be your crowning achievement with the release of The New War, I feel I can no longer do this because one of my main points in bringing people to this game was your consistent regular updates of both fixes and content. I understand the need for new content, but if you pursue that at the cost of everything else (as it feels you are now). I fear you will end up doing irreparable to your game.

Hi Danielle.

As we are halfway through January with no announcements about having community streams, can we forgo with that? Can you and Megan instead host a DevStream at the end of January?

I was thinking of a casual chat and gameplay with some of the Devs. Instead of talking about "future" updates, you can ask about their impressions of TNW(Did it live up to their expectations?). Instead of worrying about showing "new" content, you can show how the game has evolved since The Sacrifice(new loading screens, frames with unique movement/rolls, new vehicles, etc.).

I had noticed my rank at Lv60, with 10,000/10,000 standing for a while now. Thanks for immediately jumping it to Lv68 for all the NW challenges I had done after reaching the previous cap.

However, I would like to ask why was the max rank set so low to begin with? This is not the first time that extra ranks have been added as a season is in progress. Why even have a max rank at all?

It currently can only be equipped on the Prime version, and not the basic Mesa. 

I prefer regular Mesa over the primed version, and can't wear the helmet that I paid for.

You can already make Mesa Prime look like Mesa by just using the non prime skin on her or toggling prime details on any other skin. Seems like the better solution would be to just ask for the non prime regulators to be added to Mesa Prime then to ask for a prime helmet to be usable on a non prime frame.

DE got rid of the alert system, which was not great, and replaced it with nightwave, and made more work for themselves.  We do not even get thralls, or bonus enemies to kill and gain more standing when the challenges are all completed

Nightwave IMHO is WORSE than the alert system.  I still have potato blueprints, and alertium left over from my 5000+ hours of playing.  Nghtwave has made them harder, not easier, to get

While this is good news, Data Keys are merely a bonus objective to a bounty stage.  What about the long-standing Orb Vallis glitch that causes instant bounty failure?

In five days, that topic will be a year old.

sorry it seems like a sore sensitive issue with you, but you statement is very wrong at many levels. and it was just my personal opinion, no need to get hostile using swear words

You're not remotely wrong.  I didn't need to be in the game, I didn't need to have he app doing push notifications.  Once you got the pattern down -- which I happily did thanks to having to pay attention to day/night cycles for the earth tile set (long before Plains of Eidolon) -- it was very easy to schedule your play time around.  Hell, I often boasted through 3 episodes and 2 intermissions of Nightwave, playing once a day during the week, and twice during the weekend, I was sitting on 275 Nitain Extract before the first season of Nightwave.  

As for Aura Mods, the cycle for those was about 28 days in invasions and in a couple of months time,  I had not only a complete set, but routinely had enough extras to hand out because some of the poor sods I've helped through the years had bad senses of time than my family.  

Cosmetic helms and Vauban on alerts were usually 5 - 14 days depending on which you were aiming for.  

Before the first episode of Nightwave I had 25 Orokin Catalysts, and 20 Orokin Reactors and that was just from various gifts of the lotus and simple invasion missions.  

While I understand DE is wanting to tell side stories to expand on the universe of the Origin System, DE continues to miss deadlines and micromanage the length of each episode and intermission dragging it out interminably when they can't close it off and move onto the next segment.  Instead of making it something that will be as self-sufficient as the old alert system -- which was more set it and forget it -- they have to drop hot fixes like this one to extend it working for another x amount of weeks. 

This micromanaging attitude much like this today, reminds me of the saying, "who knew administrating this project was 50% panic and 50% paperwork".   

And it's almost sad because knowing what I know about programming it seems they have to do more work to have to monitor it and extend it than settting it, letting it go and then closing it when it's time to move on.

Please stop with just adding extra prestige ranks and focus on finding a solution for nightwave that doesnt revolve around more and more ranks of grinding. Glassmaker and it's over 200 prestige ranks that couldnt be completed without massive grind should have been a lesson that nightwave needs revisions and another way to earn creds is needed. a couple ideas i remember being tossed around during glassmaker were ones likes: cap nightwave to 30 ranks, with a single repeating prestige rank that awards 15 creds every 10k standing, or cap nightwave exactly at 30 ranks with no prestige, but let people earn small amounts of credits with each act they complete. Both would let people actively or passively farm creds at their own pace without the need for dev to micromanage how many ranks are available.
