DaveClandestine
@Dave Alright, I've added an XML output. The last 20 alerts will be listed. XML: http://www.kingtaro....ml/w_alerts.xml The order is descending. So the latest submitted alert is at the top. Some extra info: -"timelimit" = how many minutes left from the moment the alert got submitted. -"date" = The timestamp is in GMT+0. Using the timelimit and the date, you can calculate whether or not the alert has ended. -"submitter" = The person who submitted the alert. If you got more questions about the XML format, feel free to ask me! Regards, Taro. Thank you for setting this up. Puting the newest on top will help a lot. Current Progress: Basic app that shows a notification. Device vibrates to the patern of the drums when notification pops up. ( . . - . . ) or should it be (.. - -.) with a minor pause between the two long beats? Next task: Set up XML Parser and Update Service Edit: Any media content that the comunity could supply (such as Sounds and background Images) would also help. Notso
The fansite kit comes with some game sounds and background images you could use [for the media content you were asking for]. https://warframe.com/community/fankit Edited March 23, 2013 by Notso
DaveClandestine
@Notso Thanks, that was the first thing I downloaded. I will look back through it for items I can use. Other items I could use are the original media files from KingTaro's app (such as the "something is wrong" sound file) Progress Update: App now pulls XML Data and displays alerts as formated text. ToDo: Update data on a regular basis. Edit: Task Complete! Add sound to the Notification. Add Settings page. Add graphical display. SCREEN SHOTS: XML from KinkTaro's page: http://db.tt/6G93bJVo App Test page: http://db.tt/puinxn1W Edited March 25, 2013 by DaveClandestine
KingTaro
I designed everything according to the ingame interface. And I ripped the "something's wrong" sound by recording the gameplay while having all the sounds except the "Speech" on mute. So it's a good trick if you need any other ingame sounds. Anyway, I've uploaded my kit, so you can get it here: http://kingtaro.com/warframe/downloads/WarframeAlerts_KingTaro_DevKit.zip Regards, Taro. ap0k41yp5
Does not work on the HTC Wildfire S, because it isn't compatible with Adobe air. Awesome application though, this should get a sticky in the alerts forum.

KingTaro
@ap0k41yp5 I see. Thanks for testing it out, man. As I understand, Dave is working on a native android app, so his app should work on all the Andoid devices. So you might want to check back later to try it out. Regards, Taro. DaveClandestine
@ap0k41yp5 If you would like, you could try out the first alpha release. (Functional vibration alert, but no sound or graphics) http://db.tt/ioEZ2gcS It may be a while before I get the graphics in, but the one sound "something is wrong" is coming soon. EDIT: Notification sound now works. EDIT: If KingTaro and I get a founder package, or just official support out of this by the time we are done, it would be a nice suprise. Klenne
Had problems getting the browser app to work, as it didn't list any alerts so I tried a bunch of things from updating flash player, java to disabling addons in firefox. Turns out the "fix" was rather simple; http://www.kingtaro.com/warframe/ works while http://kingtaro.com/warframe/ doesn't, shows everything but the alerts. KingTaro
@Klenne Ah, thanks for the feedback Klenne! I fixed it, so both URL's should work now. PS: You might need to reload the page or clear cache first to load in the new app.
ap0k41yp5
The UI-less version seems to work, also there are no options for it. I seem to be able to view previous alerts, I'll wait until an alert pop up on my PC to see if it works on the phone.
