RNG weapons are the best kind, in my opinion.

I think consistency should be a thing. Rivens are not the best ideas but at least this idea may patch abysmal weapons into viable ones. Some weapons really need accuracy and precision to make them useful.

Since this is the buff/nerf device that distributes players over the repertoire at least some Rivens needs disposition 4 or 5. Yes, DE wants to make people try every weapon but we must be honest with ourselves and understand that not every weapon is FUN to play with. If some of these weapons gets a remake, that would be better.

RNG weapons may work if the outcomes salvage the worst qualities of the weapon at hand. For example, Snipetron, Opticor, Lanka are precision weapons that requires skill. Please don't make them weaker. On the contrary, applaud mechanical skill of those players who developed the tallent aiming and sniping enemy units.

So is there ever going to be an increase to the number of differing rivens we can have?

I ask because i am at my maximum and i find i am running out of space...having to either sell or just melt them.

I admit I also am trying to get a differing riven for each weapon.  I am glad the braton version for example works on all bratons, as I do not have to have a riven for each gun. Although i guess that would be acceptable if each gun had its own unique database for the riven, or we could have a collection for that gun, to go with the mod configuration of the weapon.

I always felt that once you made a riven for a specific gun type maxed the ENDO value on it then it should be taken out of the mod library and maybe put into the library for that specific weapon.  That Might help a tad on the data base overhead too.

Yup, more Riven slots would be nice. Even when you can only buy them.

Besides, i feel like i didn´t get any additional Slots from my MR because i already maxed the 180 cap by buying the slots...
It is a big problem for me, i want to experiment with Builds so i got multiple rivens, and with more and more guns entering the game, i think this max cap should be doubled.

You need to eliminate the usage stat variable in your balancing, because that is one of the most incorrect metrics to use when it comes to weapon balancing. You should instead be looking at raw numbers, and not the popularity of a weapon.

100% agree as the usage metric can so easily get skewed by a simple things as momentary popularity due to a youtuber that gives a good explanation on how to use said item and popularity can increase dramatically. it might not last beyond a certain period before many players flock to the next great idea build whatever for another weapon but it is unrealistic.

I like my rivens but not for the pure DPS factors but an ability to create builds that are unique as opposed to the use of so called obligatory mods or simple copy pastes of posted builds that work well. But at times the dispositions do seem out of touch at times.

200 or more would be good

Better 200 more.
One for every weapon i.g. would be even better.
As a bonus, this number increases with every single weapon they add to the game +1
I'd love that.

That said, I still believe the whole Riven system in the game simply needs to be removed, and replaced with a proper balancing pass across all weapons to bring everything inline with each other, instead of how some weapons (Namely AoE based ones) overshadow those that only deal damage to single targets, and the likes.

Yeah agreed. We need faster buffs regardless... Like why is the Dorrclave still dog dispo when no one uses it at all, and have no reason to use it? The Alternox, which is trash, and low usage, just now has 1.05 dispo after TWO YEARS. Not to mention the Grimoire, a quest weapon, is infinitely better for DPS and by far more useful for utility.

Anyway, this system moves way too slowly to be interesting for me. Would rather just use OP Incarnons at this point.

Rivens are fun but maybe starting dispo should be raised.

I just think they need to be more proactive on updating them. Do it more often.

yeah but it would be far easier for them to have starting disposition be more even. It's kinda funny new prime weapons and other weapons come out with 0.5 dispo and then torid and other incarnons still sit at 1.3+

Yeah, and I'm not against an increase to initial dispo.   But it is not a solution to the absurdity that is Incarnon dispo.

Well I won't complain. Its nice because i have rivens for most of them. It's just that the gap between normal weapon and incarnon is further increased by lopsided difference in disposition, that's the only point I want to make.

Curious if DE is going to address Riven Disposition in the future. Verglas Prime releases tomorrow, and this will likely be yet another clear indication that this system isn't working in any measurable capacity. Even if Incarnon weapons were given a nerfing treatment in some way (like nerfing player Rivens when they install adapters), people would still sit on Torid and Dual Toxocyst for their potency. We really need to end the charade of Disposition at some point. It's been going on too many years.

I also feel like this conversation needs to keep in mind the modern landscape of Warframe with so much powercreep that Riven Mods are mostly gravy on existing builds that already smoke all the enemies anyway. If anything, a universal disposition would slightly bring down the power ceiling, not raise it. Predictable modifier ranges create a less volatile ownership experience and feels like weapons are given more equal opportunities. Builds have already become homogenized by most players, looking for the same stats on most worthwhile gear, so the way to approach gear diversity is through innate weapon characteristics and deeper balance changes. Riven Mods are one of the oldest and most grindy systems within builds and gear in this game, and Disposition continuously adds annoyance, inconsistency and maintenance.
