Switch Interim Maintenance Update

Recommended Posts

Nintenno,

We have a maintenance Update slated tentatively for this Thursday, May 19th. Though it will not be your typical Update! This will mainly be a back-end change on the Switch to reclaim our Hotfix space. While it does reclaim our back-end Hotfix space, this Update  is also a soft-shader remaster which means it  will be a large download (6954MiB or 7.29 GB) but once it has downloaded the overall size of Warframe on the Switch will be reduced by roughly 2 GB! Please ensure you have 7.29GB free on your Switch before downloading the Update.

This will bring us up to the same spot as the other consoles, so we will be able to Hotfix alongside them as usual. Keep in mind this update is purely backend, there won’t be anything of note content wise, but we will give you a Red Text heads up when we are ready to deploy it!

For a brief explanation as to the why we need to reclaim our Hotfix space:
We only have a limited amount of space on the Switch that we can use to Hotfix (480 mb), so occasionally we will need to reclaim that space. It resets each time we send a build to Cert, which is why we don’t run into this situation often! We weren’t sure if we would max out our limit before sending the next scheduled build to Cert (which you can learn more about in our “Next Update Post-Angels of the Zariman” announcement) , which is why we’re reclaiming some space in the next few days.

Thanks everyone!

Since there would be a maintenance update for the Switch, could there be a way you can update/ check the Nintendo EShop prices for the packs as well? Tennos that play on switch are charged double the prices.

I'm not entirely sure but last I checked it was a few pounds here and there and I'm sure that's not DE doing it, it's probably Nintendo taking a cut from purchases to get in on a games success (or failure) they probably do it for other games too.

Understandably so, but the prices for packs are way more expensive than those listed in DE’s website.

A good example is the Chroma and Zephyr Prime Dual Pack with a website price of 1,359.95 PHP, while the eshop price for it is at 3.283.52 PHP (59.99 USD). This is way over the intended price. It is the amount i’ve paid for the pack as listed in my Paypal records.

This may only be on my country (Philippines) though.
