Echoes of the Zariman: Hotfix 31.6.3

TennoCon 2022 is fast approaching (July 16th)! This is potentially the last Hotfix we will be putting out before we put all our focus exclusively on the TennoCon build (unless there is an emergency hotfix needed). While this Hotfix is small, it contains some “before the weekend” fixes and back-end prep for tomorrow’s Relay Stress Test during Baro’s appearance - hope to see you there!

Optimizations: 

  • Made micro-optimizations to memory use for certain types of special effects.
  • Made systemic micro-optimizations to memory usage for all platforms.
  • Improved the Twitch Drop inbox notifications when delivered.

Fixes: 

  • Fixed slow rolling speed in Dog Days missions. We cleaned up our molasses spill, sorry about that. 
  • Fixed camera becoming frozen after viewing Wish List in the Profile menu.
  • Fixed script error with Vauban’s Minelayer HUD UI. 
  • Fixed script error with Wukong’s Passive. 
  • Fixed script error with Protea’s Temporal Anchor. 
  • Fixed a script error that could occur if Zenurik's Disarming Sling hit a player under the effects of a Radiation proc. 
  • Fixed a script error from HUD after Host migration. 
  • Fixed several script errors in the Void Armageddon mission including one related to the Argozene Drops.

Any chance you guys can look into fixing the Codex after TennoCon? It's neglected so much since 2019 that it's not even worth scanning in the past 3 years because it's incomplete/broken. Addressing the Specters/AoE situation would be nice too.

-Vauban's vortex still blinds people(Directx 12)

-Nightwave menu lags when Nora gives you a reward(Directx 12)

-Missions still lag when you first load, for about 1minute(Directx 12. Might be shader compilation issues, I recommend using all cores to compile it, starting during the initial loading, and not when the tenno arrives on the mission).

-Panzer Vulpaphyla still dies permanently at random even with panzer devolution

Please make the Dog Days Ephemera permanent. If you're ok with literal fish being permanent, why not the rest? It's wholly inconsistent and it shouldn't be. A lot of players like these cosmetics and are upset every time you take them away. On the other hand, a lot of players and even some of your own staff very much don't like these cosmetics, yet have absolutely zero recourse to being bombarded with bird wings and bat wings and candy canes and now literal fish all year round. You can satisfy both of these preferences, and even players who don't care one way or the other, by making them all permanent and adding a setting for players to opt in or out of these cosmetics.

is a repost but i mean.... we cant go arround with those kavats, it has been already 6 months with this glitch : accents color in kavats with vasca pattern is still glitched since new war release

Thanks for the hotfix! Thank you for mentioning transference cooldown and confirming that it is unintended and will be removed. The only thing I have to complain about is Void Dash still not being reintroduced. It was objectively better than Void Sling and didn't deserve to be removed. Eidolon hunting now only uses Void Sling to proc the sling strength buff from Madurai, and nothing else. General use of it in missions is discouraged and often times significantly slower than just bullet jumping with a normal frame not having been modded for parkour velocity. For this reason, I and many others ask that Void Dash be reintroduced as a toggle in the settings menu or elsewhere, Void Sling doesn't have to be removed but we would like our operator movement back. This and other issues with the AoZ update were addressed in a post by Magnus, which I will link here and encourage everyone seeing this to read.

Any plans on nerfing Incarnon ranged weapons? Those things are broken strong by a substantial margin due to some talent choices and DE will never be able to balance lategame/endgame properly if they continue to release weapons that are miles in front of the rest of the pack.

I really don't want to see DE having to resort to more damage attenuation formulas in the future on priority targets because broken weapons were left unchecked. The Lich/Sister damage attenuation formula require due to Arquebex was a disaster in terms of player sentiment and enjoyment. Why repeat it? Rather fix the problem now.

Even after the third hotfix after this update melee is still not fixed close to 90% of the melee stances combos that include the right mouse button still dont work pretty much making melee not usable on melee mode exalted weapon and even some frames with exalted melee weapons are pretty much not unusable at this point ever since the last update 

In more simple example: when you long click F to enter melee mode and you try using almost any combo that includes right mouse button click it will get stuck on the first attack in the chain over and over again it was tested already by many people with different settings and there is no fixing it with settings changing its a bug with dodging combined with melee attack in melee mode 

Here are some examples to weapons that were tested: 

-Swords-                                                                                                                     -Daggers-

Blade-Whip: Almost no problem.                                                                               Dual Daggers: Only Spinning Needle has problems.

Dual Swords: Affected except Swirling Tiger.                                                             Single Dagger: Only Homing Fang is normal.

Machete: Cyclone Kraken is bugged.

Nikana: dead.

Rapier: Forward tactical combos not working.                                                            -Brawler-

Sword: Only Forward Tactical combo on Swooping Falcon has problems.                Claws: Only the Four Riders work properly.

Sword-Shield: Final Harbinger is bugged.                                                                 Fist: Only Gaia's Tradegy is dead.

Two-Handed Nikana: Problems with forward tactical combos.                                 Sparring: Brutal Tide is dead.

Warfan: Votive Onslaught is bugged.

 

-Pole-                                                                                                                          -Heavy-

Polearm: All normal. (There are a lot of missing combos to begin with)                   Assault Saw: All normal.

Scythe: Reaping Spiral is bugged.                                                                              Hammer: Crushing Ruin is not a problem, but Shattering Storm is dead.

Staff: dead.                                                                                                                 Heavy: Only Forward Tactical combo on Cleaving Whirlwind has problems.

                                                                                                                                  Heavy Scythe: All normal.

 

-Misc-                                                                                                                        -Exalted-

Glaive: All have problems.                                                                                         Baruuk - Serene Storm: dead.

Gunblade: dead.                                                                                                        Excalibur - Exalted Blade: All normal.

Nunchaku: dead.                                                                                                       Valkyr - Hysteria: dead.

Tonfa: dead.                                                                                                               Wukog- Primal Fury: Cyclone Lightning Strike: dead.

Whip: Burning Wasp is bugged.

[Primed Ammo Stock] still needs to be added as well.

They don't feel like they are broken strong to me.

This is a problem with all sentinels not just the Panzer, or beast companions. It has also happened to me with my trusty carrier prime.

You may be building them wrong. They are top of the heap in terms of potential single target damage output quite a margin, which is why it may prompt future damage attenuation formulas akin to what we saw with Liches/Sisters.

During update process I was in squad doing isolation vault run, when I leave squad after mission completion, game failures to host migrate telling me that new mission can't be started, needed to restart the game with launcher, rewards are lost

consider fixing this issue

DE please for the love of god, put 1 person on to the codex, get it fixed once and for all.. its been years in waiting to get you to do anything about this..

Is it possible for you guys to please un-nerf the New Energy Arcane, it was not broken in any ways as the already good frames did not have any energy problems, and it allowed for some of the less used frames to be used more often, Like Valkyr, Nyx etc. without having to be glued to the side of a trinity or Harrow.

Meanwhile Mesa, Ember, Protea, Excalibur, Wukong and many others have little use for it.

Also Emergence Dissipate has allowed people to use the other focus schools more often instead of always defaulting to Zenurik if they do not have a maxed energize.

Hopefully the next update is huge and fixes some of the major bugs I encounter on a daily basis given the extra time dedicated towards it ranging from fixing [primed ammo stock] to the starlight market glass pane misalignment to not have ability cooldown timers present when being client in Zariman missions to having the incorrect amp description in the HUD to the excavator collision hitbox being messed up.

An update on the ETA progress of fixing any or all of the bugs listed above would be great!
