Let's see if I get my timeline correct

1. Alad V big corpus crazy scientist mashes some warframes together to make a pet dog, we go in and kill him.

2. he actually is alive and so jaded at us so he goes and gets himself infested, we go and kill him again

3. He's alive still and in some spark of self preservation decides to try curing himself poking around hunhow's lair, rustling the jimmies of stalker and his accolytes in the process, so now we go ahead and save him.

4. All cured up Alad V shows up in new War.

conclusion: Alad V is that crazy uncle that you keep wondering how is he not dead yet, but always enjoy seeing him at family reunions cuz he makes them more fun.

Alad V ... implies there's an Alad I, II, III and IV out there somewhere 🤭

It's not a Roman numeral, it's an English letter. So instead there might be Alad A through U, and possibly his son Alad W

Also we killed him but we didn't but then we did but then there's another one in The New War

Alad's canonical lore goes in release order: First he kills Valkyr. Then he gets infested and discovers Mesa. Then he gets cured by the stuff we sold to him (after stealing said stuff from Tyl Regor). Then we meet him in Second Dream. Then we use him as bait to fight the Acolytes. Then he meets Natah and invents the Amalgams (and also meets the Wolf of Saturn Six). Finally he hired us to kill the Ropalolyst

SPOILERS AHEAD

We defeat him at Jupiter the first time but we don't kill him. We do destroy zanuka. He proceeds to make more zanuka (hence the assassination target we get marked with). This same Alad helps us in The Second Dream.

During patient zero he is experimenting with the infested to create a new Warframe and creates Mesa. Unfortunately, he succumbs to the infestation and is driven mad. We go and defeat him but don't kill him.

During the event long ago called the Tubemen of Regor iirc, we are given a choice to help cure Alad by breaking into Tyl's lab. We do so and end up curing Alad. He then shows up post infection (as seen by the purple scar on him) and has created amalgams after making a deal with the sentients. We then defeat the ropalolyst, freeing him from the the deal where he got in over his head.

Lastly, we see him leading his own squadron of corpus ships from afar in The New War.
