Yeah bosses are an interesting topic.

I'm trying to imagine what a great boss fight delivers. It's more than bullet sponging - although that's part of it in all fairness - or any variation on that (invincibility).

Interesting mechanics abound with bosses in WF when you think about it - there's a ton of variety - but it's more than that too.

I like when bosses kill me, because then they're a real threat, but don't like it when there's nothing I can do about it. I don't like it when it's too easy or can be cheesed, even though those are subjective/relative - still, there's a line there.

I think the ideal boss fight gives me a run for my money, and I think the best boss fights are the ones with intricate AI, where they react to you from a deep arsenal that is hard to predict and without sufficient reaction will 100% put you down.

After veilbreaker update i think i'd put Amar in "Not that hard" tier and Borealis in "Hard" tier

My theory about the Sergeant is that we were supposed to fight Nef Anyo but turns out he bails away and puts a body double (or a decoy) for us to fight instead to buy time. Kind of anticlimatic but I have no idea what else would make sense.

I would have put ambulas as very easy or easy , it's litterally 4x 2m of waiting

I would put Orb Mothers on annoying not hard tier .

I think Phorid belongs in "The Sergeant" category. They're both thematically the same. The Sergeant is largely a normal Crewman and the Phorid a largely a normal Charger.
