Make Iron Skin recastable, for the love of God.

i dont actually. if they pushed out a patch, right now, that read "made roar recastable without the augment, recast property has been removed from the augment and it remains otherwise unchanged" then i'd still use it. rhino is, to me, literally just a "i press 1 button and basically afk otherwise" support. iron skin is useless for 99% of the game, unless i wanna maybe do index since it lets me shut off my brain. 


that's just how i use him tho, mileage may vary and all that. :^)

ofc, not that i disagree with the original point, its dumb af that iron skin cant be manually reset, but that really just goes for all skills like that. which... there are not that many. and somehow rhino ended up having 2 of them. he's not even that good anymore, his main use, roar, is just on every support ever now anyway who bring more to the team than just roaring lol.

Tbf I really don't like using his Ironclad Charge at all,. I dont like his 1st ability by default, and the short duration from the augment with the need to have a grouping method to get the maximum effect make it unbearable to use.

So that's already 1 augment I dont need to use which can let me have a free slot for something else. While replacing his 1 with a Helminth like Parasitic Armor or Empowered. And I really don't feel the need to add even more Strength on my builds, so if I had to replace Transient Fortitude for 5 Red Shards I'll prob do it (I might really consider it, if I dont find any frame on whom I want to use these).

 

Another thing, is that I have yet to try is Reinforcing Stomp, but I would really love to try some build based on it to recharge his Iron Skin. It could be more interesting gameplay wise than just recasting his 3.

 

About the original topic that would be cool for sure, on my side I don't really care if Iron Skin gets or not the recast outside of the augment.

Well your entitled to your opinion but at the end of the day we can agree that it doesn't make sense for his abilities to not be recastable, if anything your post suggests he needs a buff or maybe a rework of some sort.

i dont actually think so. rhino is perfectly fine the way he currently is.

while progressing, iron skin is actually usefull and 4 could be usefull occasionally aswell for new players.

the main thing i use him for, as i said, is index and "moving" steelpath missions, like exterminations. since you cant just sit in one place with wisp but have to keep moving. this makes the motes harder to apply to team mates and i just value the increased strength from a non-subsumed roar a bit more.

just those 2 (+1 for beginners) roles make him already see more play than a lot of frames in the game who essentially have 0 niche they can fit into. Imo, DE should focus on those frames first.

(again, doesnt mean recasting shouldnt be added without augments, its just annoying)

Does nezha have a multiplayer on that damage absorb part of the ability? I can't remember.

I know iron skin doesn't so it really doesn't buy you much time if your relying on that.

For me to get a good about of health on my iron skin (200k+) I have to use my operator abilities use elemental ward that I subsumed group enemies charge through them and in between use an operator ability to proc molt vigor. Now 200k is low balling it but that's a lot of set up and if I'm in a squad I'm lucky to hit two guys because teammates usually have killed my grouped up enemies by then.

And revenant does one ability and he's immortal..

 

Also I don't need advice on how to play rhino because even if you think there's a better way to use rhino the gap between iron skin and Mesmer skin of how easy it is to use and how it scales is ridiculous and that's the point I'm trying to make. I'm fine with it being better but cmon man give us something.

I would love to use this augment but:

  • Does not revive MOAs and Hounds during their Bleedout phase.
  • Does not revive dead companions in Arbitration missions.
  • Sentinels revived by this augment do not restore their used Mod Primed Regen and Regen charges.
  • Revives one companion per cast. If the ability is modified to last longer than the Cooldown, the repair charge does not refresh.
  • Repair Dispensary does not produce Pickups.
  • Cannot be deployed while on cooldown.
  • Only 1 Dispensary regardless of version may be active at once per player.

Sentinel dispensary is much more stationary than dispensary regular

I can get a lot of Iron Skin through Health Conversion + Arcane Tanker. You can get even more if you swap something for Parasitic Armor and literally apply 1 Redirection on Rhino. 

My current build doesn't use PA tho, it is unnecessary to stack that much Iron Skin now because they reworked Reinforcing Stomp, I can fully regenerate my 800k+ Iron Skin with 1 Stomp, no need to bump this to 1,5 million with Parasitic Armor.
