Did AoE nerfs indirectly buff protea?

Now that AoE ammo is harder to get (still not impossible but that's a different topic), protea may have seen an indirect buff to her temporal anchor. 

 

When temporal anchor is cast, the ability will save the amount of ammo you have. You then have your ammo restored to this amount when it runs out. 

This means that a player can use the ability, shoot all of the rounds in the kuva zarr, and then rewind to instantly regain max ammo along with shields and most of her energy. 

This is good because many players felt protea's anchor was not as useful and subsumed another ability onto it. Now there seems to be a much stronger reason to use it.

Given the amount of meta players who use protea (and those celebrating her deluxe skin), I'm surprised nobody mentioned this, but then again, I haven't seen anyone on these forums mention energized munitions either.

Seems a lot of folks dislike the backwardness of the anchor and subsume something over it. I'd honestly use it for the restore on rewind after ammo changes, just in case in a pinch and can't wait to drop a Dispensary.

That's what I meant, there seems to be a much more valid reason to use the anchor now that you can't instantly max out your zarr with dispensary.

Indirectly yes. Lots of these types of interactions occur. Like its only brought up as conversation, but if self damage is brought back, then Chroma... 

Even without Proteas 4, just Dispensary is going to alleviate many of the ammo concerns weapons have. Sad that Phantasma Prime might run out of ammo despite being otherwise great? Well with Protea, its not an issue. Likewise, Wisp in a way could be passively nerfed in some ways. High strength Wisps. Can lead to some ammo conservation issues, because more ammo can be expended accidentally in the moments after enemies die, but you still might be firing. If ammo issues get tighter, than having a Warframe, creating more ammo inefficiency, even at the positive of increased fire rate, is an issue (one that varies, but still). So for those that like Warframes which are great as supports (HP increase and Regen VS refreshing shields/over shields), Protea is looking good.

In short, yes.

Content creators are already looking into Protea as a specter, the scavenger aura mods, and the ammo mutation mods. There's always been rework arounds to DE's "nerfs". It just goes to prove, that no one on the team double-checks before implementing.

I mean dispenser exists.  And yeah it gives some use to Temp Anchor.  But it's not enough for me to not subsume over it.  Temp Anchor's issue is it doesn't mesh with the kit it's on.  There's no reason to rewind since literally all of it's benefits can be modded to cover.  I don't need to worry about HP or energy already.  Dying isn't a thing Protea has to worry about because her other ability makes it nearly impossible to die in the first place.  More so with modding.  And ammo isn't generally a concern but is already some what taken care of with dispenser.

Temp Anchor is also annoying in that it takes control away from the player.  It's cool for videos and meming around but it doesn't work from a gameplay perspective.  That being said if DE is really fine with having visual flavor over actual usefulness then let me put Temp Anchor on other frames.  I'd love to rapid dash back and forth on Booben with his dash pads.  Or dash around with Gauss and then zip back immediately.
