(PSN)FunyFlyBoy Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Y'all are aware that there was like 11 prime frames with MR and couldn't be used below that MR if crafted. DE recently removed MR requirements from these frames. They ain't doing this suggestion.
Hypernaut1 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 The ship has sailed. When I first started WF years ago, it didn't make sense to me that primes we're actually easier to get than the regular frame, and didn't even require mastery of regular frame to use. It was such a weird system, especially when even certain weapons needed other weapons as material to craft. It seemed like primed would've been the same way.
StormDemon07 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I think a good initial improvement to make them feel like a more efficient version of their regular counterparts would be to make all Primes come with around 100 more energy or perhaps having innate increased ability efficiency. Another option could be having a stronger increase in stats all across the board; Health, shields, armor, energy and maybe even movement speed and aim glide/wall latch.
Pizzarugi Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Let's keep the difference simple: Slight increase to base stats, different/more polarities. That's all. Primes don't need to stand out as titans compared to the normal counterparts. This plus the new look and death orb energy should be plenty sufficient. And it's not like this suggestion is new either, plenty of older primes tend to get this treatment.
Agall Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Compared to primes like excalibur and frost, the newer ones are so fancy and magnificent. I don't know if they intend to do anything crazy like adding more umbra warframes or if excalibur umbra was solely designed to quell the 'but I want excalibur prime' unrest that I assumed just kept building post release in 2013. They could do Wraith warframes or some other unique modifier than just Prime, something other than the standard 'use frame until prime version comes out'. Maybe a Kuva/Tenet style warframe with Narmer or another faction?
Birdframe_Prime Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 This... again? Do we really have to say this every. single. time? Primes are not supposed to be different in any qualitative sense beyond a few base stats. DE have outright stated this multiple times. They get bonuses in specific situations, but are genuinely supposed to behave in the exact same way as the regular frames. Putting the same mods on a Prime frame will result in the exact same ability effects as on the regular frame. A prime is already a cosmetic upgrade (apart from Mag... poor thing...) that you can get for free. Primes are not, and never have been, all that 'special'.

If there have to be difference it has to be either small and/or not affecting gameplay. "Energy on Orbs" is small change. Prime could have special settings for graphics. For example they could have 2 ephemarias, another one might be lower (e.g. like tail). Maybe prime weapons do more in their hands? No matter which prime weapon it is. Like maybe regular frame don’t have the ability to use the full potential of the prime weapons as the weapons weren’t designed for them. Maybe emptying out a full clip causes you to gain energy when reloading? Maybe prime melee slams create a wider radius? Just throwing ideas out there that DE technically already have done in the game, just not this very specific situation.
