I just have a few things Id like to Poke you guys about with HDR

Ive tried some personal research into things, however, What is "Paper white" supposed to be set to?
I have a 600 nit HDR monitor on PC, so when I interpenetrated the number that starts at 300 as nits and set it to 600, however regardless of what I set it to the image is blown out. varying degrees of course. is there a guide you guys follow?

Does the "Brightness" slider contribute in a significant factor should I adjust it and/or "Contrast" in tandem with "Paper White" ?

Ive attached Photos (Taken on a phone cause screenshots don't really convey what I mean, sorry) These are 50 Brightness, 50 contrast, 300 Paper white, and default captura settings. Brights and highlights look and feel blown out.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the idea is the slider allows you to adjust the luminance so a piece of paper looks like, well, a piece of paper, so as to speak. That doesn't mean a 600 nits monitor should use the 600 value in the slider. Rather, it means you should take a point as reference and adjust the picture properly until it looks like it's intended. If your monitor is properly set up contrast and brightness shouldn't be tampered with.

Having said this, it would definitely be easier if DE added a better explanation as to what they intend the user to tweak and give reference points, because otherwise, well, good luck adjusting.

EDIT: They really, really, should take a note from Sony Santa Monica's implementation on God of War UI wise. Because that was quite something.

Yeah Thats what I thought when it came to paper white, was just unsure.

I think some que's from Doom Eternal, God of war (like you mentioned), and Cyberpunk could be taken because I was able to adjust to get things just right

I would also appreciate if they added a max luminescence value, Cyberpunk has this in conjunction with Paper white. just to make things a little more together.
