I have 3k Platinum, I don't play the game anymore and its just sitting there and I have no clue what I can do with it. Can I sell it for $$? If its not even worth I am willing to give it to someone who wants it, therefor putting it to use rather then me having it or sell my account.

Disclaimer:  I could be wrong - I am not an employee of DE - I'm going off my understanding of the TOS/EULA.

If a streamer was accepting cash to then give away in game currency or items, that would be the same, IMO.  From what I've heard, giveaways are for anyone watching the stream, however, so there's no quid pro quo, so to speak.

You seem very defensive about this, however.  If you aren't trying to trade plat or in-game items for items outside of the game, why does it bother you so much?

Because i often report users doing these sort of deals (altough i am not the only one), that user that pinged me knows exactly what happens when i submit the tickets.

However given that the user made the statement in public, no ticket is necessary, everyone knows and as such his future trades will likely be checked, 1 by 1.

To players reading this post, don't get involved with RMT based trades, the account you play on belongs to DE, you are simply allowed to use the systems, servers and accounts to play the game, as soon you try to sell something that ain't yours, you risk the account and anyone involved will be punished.

I’m artist and it’s interesting thing for me. I had problems to pay for Warframe with my money (Because I’m Ukrainian and a lot of common payment stuff I couldn’t use in past). But I didn’t  have friends who play Warframe a lot so I never tried this option. Overall it became pointless after I switched Warframe to Steam, so I can just get steam gift cards now. Just curiosity still left regarding subject.

Buy plat, gift a lot of randoms, refund the plat.

Booom many accounts getting banned for no reason.

 

Thats how I feel about this topic and the suggestion to 'gift randoms' to make them happy.

I'll echo TomCruisesSon and say that you could probably make a lot of people's day by giving gifts.

  • If you look at someone's in-game profile, you can see their wishlist.
  • If they don't have a wishlist, just give them something that seems generally fun or useful.

do a quest? then you give away a booster, consmetics or something as a gift as a reward.

As a new player, I've sunk far beyond my budget for fun things into this game with only a week and a bit invested in time... I'd say, gift it to some new people in a similar position, it can really brighten their day. Thanks for considering making a post.

This is not a worry at all.  Like others wrote DO NOT try to sell it for money - that could go very wrong.

The GOOD NEWS is that every single item in the MARKET has a small "Gift Box" icon next to it.
3000 plat will go a long way in helping newcomers, etc.
Did you belong to a Clan?  Gift your clan-mates some cool Tennogen stuff.  🙂

When my gf and I first started playing someone like you (he was one of our "warframe mentors") gifted my parter a full Saryn Prime.  She was elated.  :)
Another person went around gifting people a Color Palette of their choice.  Lots of smiles spread around.  🥰

I mean if you really need to get rid of it quick I would love a Gyre 😁.   Like who has 1,100 Thrax Plasm???  😉 😁

Forma Bundles (3 Forma - ALWAYS useful), Color Palettes, and Grindframes (the ones that take endless re-runs to farm like Protea, Gyre, etc) are all wonderful gifts to give to your fellow tenno.  🥰

Someone in our Alliance recently bought a newer player a proper Voidrig (Necramech) so they could play The New War - that was super cool of them.

For more experienced players who have most stuff, Tennogen is just chock-full of beautiful cosmetics to gift.  🙂

New player here. Just unlocked my helminth. Wouldn't be sad if you donated a few frames over my way. I def pay it forward (got my rhino in a good spot and have been taking other new players thru index for credits...all I am capable of right now 😅). 

 

Literally only even saying this if you're going to actually let it sit and not be used.

He probably left already but the best options are:

1- Sit on it in case you want to come back in a while, maybe for the new stuff in the game, or maybe you have a friend that plays it. 

2- Look at low lvl players, and gift them wf or weapon slots. Thats the thing that may help the most. Everything else, like a whole warframe, os cosmetics, or formas, all of that, is for higer lvl players, that can earn their own plat.

Does that really matter?  (Some) people are caught for engaging in RMT - this is no different.  And, when caught, both parties are held responsible.

No, that is not correct - that is still not allowed by the EULA/TOS.  Changing the "real money" to an item of real monetary value is no different.

Yes you can’t do much with it. In theory you can gift some stuff from shop to artist for an art. It’s not actually selling/buying for real money, rather gift-gift if I can be correct.  And of you interested. Otherwise just gift stuff to randoms in chat. Or just sit on it indeed, if you would like to return one day.
