[DE]CoreyOnline
Greetings Tenno, The team developing Warframe for Mobile has reached a new milestone, and the time has come to have you join us in a closed beta for iOS devices! This post aims to inform you about how to join the Closed Beta, what you can expect from this version of Warframe, what device and OS requirements exist, and any other questions you may have. While we invite you to ask questions in the thread below, we have also launched a dedicated iOS Closed Beta subforum to house questions, conversations, bug reports and more: https://forums.warframe.com/forum/1796-warframe-ios-closed-beta/ Q: How can I take part in Warframe's iOS closed beta? Starting on December 6, Tenno can complete the registration here https://warframe.com/ios to participate in the iOS closed beta. Access to the iOS closed beta will be limited and we may revoke access from accounts who have been inactive for an extended period of time or have not partaken in the beta at all. This will allow us to let more players in, who are eager to test out the mobile version on their compatible iOS device. Please note that registering does not guarantee that you will gain access to the beta. Q: How will I know if I have successfully registered and gained access to the closed beta? When you have submitted the form and were selected to join the beta, you will receive an email invitation via Apple’s TestFlight program. You will find a link to download TestFlight via the Apple App Store. Open TestFlight on your compatible iOS device and download the Warframe Beta. Email invitations will begin to be sent out after Tuesday December 6th. Q: How long will it take to install? While install time will vary based on your Wi-Fi, the initial install may take multiple hours to complete. Please make sure you keep the app open and running in the foreground during the download phase. The "Downloading Updates" install phase will not progress if the app is backgrounded or the device is in sleep mode. Plugging in your device to confirm a stable power supply is suggested. Transitioning from Wi-Fi to Cellular Data while the game is installing may reset your download progress and is therefore not recommended. More information about TestFlight can be found here: https://developer.apple.com/testflight/ Q: What email address will the invite link be sent to? If you’ve registered to participate in the iOS closed beta and were selected to join, we will be sending the link via email to the email address that you have provided within your Warframe account. Make sure to check your spam folder! If the Warframe account you are registering with is being used on console (PS, XB & Switch), you can confirm what email address you have associated with your account in the Warframe Forums’ Profile Account Settings. You may need to link an email address, if you haven't already. Q: What Apple devices are currently supported? Several iPhone and iPad devices are compatible for this Closed Beta test. Apple devices released in 2018 or later are recommended. The following iPhone devices are compatible: Spoiler iPhone XS iPhone XS Max iPhone XR iPhone 11 iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 11 Pro Max iPhone 12 iPhone 12 Mini iPhone 12 Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max iPhone 13 iPhone 13 Mini iPhone 13 Pro Max iPhone 14 iPhone 14 Plus iPhone 14 Pro iPhone 14 Pro Max iPad hardware released in 2019 or later is recommended. The following iPad devices are compatible: Spoiler iPad Mini (5th Generation) iPad Mini (6th Generation) iPad Air (3rd Generation) iPad Air (4th Generation) iPad Air (5th Generation) iPad (8th Generation) iPad (9th Generation) iPad (10th Generation) Q: Can I use an external controller to play the iOS closed beta? Yes, you can sync up a compatible controller to your iOS device. Find out how to pair your controller of choice here. Q: How long will the iOS closed beta be active? We currently do not have a set end date for this closed beta. Q: Will my progress be deleted once the iOS closed beta concludes? Yes. Your game progress will be deleted at the end of this closed beta phase. Q: Will the Warframe iOS closed beta have any monetized features? This iOS closed beta test will not include any monetization. You can claim free 75 Platinum Packs for your tester account in the market, and you will not be charged. This will allow you to gain additional Warframes and weapons with Platinum in order to test additional elements of Warframe on mobile. Q: Will all Warframe features be available in this closed beta? At present, we are including a limited amount of content during this closed beta period. You will be able to experience some early quests (Vor’s Prize & Once Awake) and starting planets (Earth, Venus & Mercury), plus you can explore the Plains of Eidolon. More content and game features may be added during the closed beta phase. Our goal is to provide the full Warframe experience once the mobile version launches in the future. Some of the current notable limitations in this beta are as follows: No Voice Chat No cross-play at this time Limited to iOS during the current beta phase You may experience performance issues based on your device Q: Should I play on Wi-Fi or via cellular data? At this stage we highly suggest you play over Wi-Fi rather than via cellular data, especially if you are concerned about personal data caps. We don’t want you to hit or go over your cellular data limit while downloading or playing the closed beta! Q: Where can I provide feedback about the beta? Thanks for testing this beta with us! We appreciate any sort of feedback about your experience with this iOS beta. Let us know how it went in our Warframe Forum here: https://forums.warframe.com/forum/1796-warframe-ios-closed-beta/ Q: If I have been invited to take part in this test, do I have to sign an NDA? There is no NDA or similar set of restrictions on what you can discuss publicly. Feel free to share your experiences with your fellow Tenno, and use the Subforum to supply feedback, report bugs, and ask questions or share your opinion. Our regular Warframe End User License Agreement will apply to this closed beta test on iOS, so if you have any further questions on what can or cannot be done, please refer to the EULAs here. Q: How is my personal data being processed during this closed iOS beta? Head over to our iOS Privacy Policy for more details. Q: Are there any country restrictions for participation? Yes. Here's a list of countries that may participate in the current closed iOS beta Spoiler Albania American Samoa Andorra Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Australia Austria Bahamas Barbados Belarus Belgium Belize Bermuda Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Bosnia and Herzegovina Botswana British Indian Ocean Territory Bulgaria Cameroon Canada Cayman Islands Cook Islands Croatia Curaçao Czechia Denmark Dominica Estonia Falkland Islands (Malvinas) Fiji Finland Gambia Ghana Gibraltar Greece Grenada Guam Guernsey Guyana Hungary Iceland India Ireland Isle of Man Jamaica Jersey Kenya Latvia Lesotho Liberia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macedonia, Republic of Malawi Malta Marshall Islands Mauritius Moldova, Republic of Monaco Montenegro Montserrat Namibia New Zealand Nigeria Northern Mariana Islands Norway Pakistan Palau Papua New Guinea Philippines Portugal Puerto Rico Romania Rwanda Saba Saint Kitts and Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Samoa San Marino Serbia Seychelles Sierra Leone Sint Maarten (Dutch part) Slovakia Slovenia Solomon Islands South Africa South Sudan Sudan Swaziland Sweden Switzerland Tanzania, United Republic of Tonga Trinidad and Tobago Turks and Caicos Islands Uganda United Kingdom United States Vanuatu Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, U.S. Zambia Zimbabwe Q: I need help troubleshooting an issue with the app. First, follow the General Troubleshooting Steps outlined in our Mobile App Troubleshooting web page. DrinkingRock
I'm eager to try this out! It's a bit unfortunate that recommended hardware is bulky iPads that can't realistically be taken around all the time like a phone can, but I'm eager to see what our pocket powerhouses can do with the game! Hoping to stress test movement if I get in.
MisterWednesdayPrime
Is the build going to be enabled to Apple Silicon Macs too? Any M1 should match or beat the specs of the listed iOS/iPadOS devices...

Every country has its own set of requirements and regulations for distributing apps! This list is not indicative of the countries where the game will or won't be available when it officially launches, only where we were able to run this particular Closed Beta test.
Mazifet
Once this is fully released on iOS and Android, it'll bring a ton of traction towards warframe as the audience for mobile games is massive. I can't wait till an Android beta is open, then I can fuel my crippling addiction to this game even more! >:D

MisterWednesdayPrime
The iPhone devices list should probably include the SE 2020 and SE 2022 - they're re-factored hardware but the same silicon as those years standard models.

Raxcental
I'm super excited for when the beta reaches android. Portable Warframe for everyone! Switch performance isn't good and not everyone can afford or justify a steam deck. Everyone has a phone though!

LittleLeonie
1 hour ago, --IL--Slava said: wait but what with android? are they getting an open beta after the ios? iOS phone's have a fixed screen size which makes it easier to avoid UI clipping (and general bugs related to UI) whereas Android runs on hundreds of differently shaped devices and needs to be tested very thouroughly on all sorty of screen sizes before being able to make an educated guess on if the UI generally works in a stable fashion or not.
