Kiwipriest
Warframe has an increasing amount of important audio indicators. This includes: optional loot objectives like star chart loot caches mission objectives like the open world caches and demolyst units The worst of these offenders are probably the disruption missions, where detecting demolysts early especially when playing alone is a huge time advantage. I occasionally enjoy playing while listening to music or audio books and find it frustrating that the only compromise is to alter my build to include radar mods. I would also assume that this interferes with the experience of some hearing impaired players. Adding a corresponding visual indicator or independent volume control for important audio indicators would increase my comfort while playing the game and increase ease of access for a variety of other players.
tel__arin
I agree. disruption need another marker type. even fiddling with the transmission volumes still hard to find the demolists.

I've gotten used to the demolysts red ping indicator which is a major help in that mission. I think this only shows up if you turn off the volume in settings. could be wrong though. I'd say the worst offender is Lua Rescue as the intended method to complete that mission is to hack a terminal and listen for the prisoner then hop into the portal. Not having to hack a terminal, hop through the portal to check then hop back through rinse and repeat four times. This can easily lead to failed Lua Rescue sorties because of the time limit constraint added combined with the fact that you have to hop through almost 8 loading zone transitions within a minute. I don't think it is that determinantal to always be listening to the game outside from those fringe situations and have gotten around fine leaving my master volume at 0.
taiiat
sure, things could be split out a bit more than now. 36 minutes ago, tel__arin said: I agree. disruption need another marker type. even fiddling with the transmission volumes still hard to find the demolists. for what it's worth, i was tipped off once upon a time that the 'Attack' HUD Marker is used for Demolysts, and so if you change that from its default dark Red to something more visible, it'll be easier to notice those. personally, i rarely if ever saw those HUD Markers with the default Colors. but after going with the classic 'mega gamer' Magenta, now it's very easy to see! :D

It shows up even if you have sound on, it's just next to impossible to see. Like, look at it! How the hell are you even supposed to see that if literally, anything is happening on screen? Demolists, rare crates, zariman accolades, caches, rescue targets yelling during prison death countdown, and ordis' secret lore in his cephalon fragments are all sound dependent to find faster or find at all. The demolists are the first ones to actually have an accessibility option in the form of a visual marker but its detection range is much shorter than the sound and it's so tiny and hard to see it's useless. Hogwarts legacy actually has accessibility settings for audio visualizer icons to help with gameplay, something like that would be amazing to have added to warframe. 3 hours ago, taiiat said: sure, things could be split out a bit more than now. for what it's worth, i was tipped off once upon a time that the 'Attack' HUD Marker is used for Demolysts, and so if you change that from its default dark Red to something more visible, it'll be easier to notice those. personally, i rarely if ever saw those HUD Markers with the default Colors. but after going with the classic 'mega gamer' Magenta, now it's very easy to see! :D Oh really? Maybe I can make it more visible too then. Although what I'd really like is to be able to increase its size, it's so goddamn easy to miss.

That would probably help a ton. I had never even noticed it.

lSaminatorl
I'd love to see demolysts icon changed to a different colour that's much more noticeable, and pings on that map once the conduit is active, for a couple of seconds so you know the direction it's coming from, and then to be marked on your radar once the target is within at least 50m of a player. One of my friends I play warframe with regularly is completely deaf and has a very hard time when it comes to disruption.
