Throwing Despair, in incarnon mode, at "liquid" covered surfaces completely prevents it from exploding

I found during an ESO mission in the Grineer Sealab tileset, the room with all of the green goo, if you throw an incarnon'd despair at the floor of goo, it just completely stops the explosion from taking place. I suspect that this can also happen when you throw them at liquid-based surfaces
