(XBOX)KayAitch
Thanks to a mess up on the timings from DE this week I got the Incarnon Hate. I have to say... 👏 👏 👏 Excellent trolling DE, no notes. The Incarnon Hate is a melee weapon that, in Incarnon mode, staggers the player on every hit. 🤣 Come.back Felarx and Soma, all is forgiven. We have a new worst Incarnon mode in the game - a melee you can't melee with. (Unless Primed Sure Footed or Revenant or whatever and yes I realise it's supposed to be ranged).
--END--Rikutatis
DE said they are already looking into the staggers, so it's probably going to get changed/fixed in the next update. As far as melee incarnons go, Hate actually seems to be pretty powerful and interesting. A shame it's the only stalker weapon I don't own.
Braneman
It was exactly the same problem with the ceramic dagger.

Doesn't beat the sheer absolute chutzpah of releasing a melee 'upgrade' that staggers you every time you use it. 7 minutes ago, --END--Rikutatis said: As far as melee incarnons go, Hate actually seems to be pretty powerful and interesting It does, on paper. Then you try it and immediately stagger yourself, with a melee. 10/10 no notes. They either didn't test it at all, or like me, find it perversely funny.
NovaLP
Just like sibear where half of the incarnon doesn't work, it gets basicly no upgrades or some close to meaningless upgrades and the "ice field" on heavy slams has a smaller radius then the slam radius and resolves itself before the lifted status effect on heavy slams runs out. Making this "ice field" comepletely useless. But Hate at least works and is pretty good even if you have to use PSF, Rev, Gauss or Atlas.

And Mirage can turn any weapon into a multishot monster and Harrow can turn any weapon into a crit headshot monster. Some frames being able to work around bugs doesn't make it any less embarrassingly bad to have a melee that staggers the player when used as a melee. Less than 10% of frames and 1 mod you can only get by logging in every day for over a year is not a fix.

Hate is quite powerful once you take the stagger out of the equation. I should also note that hate stagger fix is in the next update's patch notes. So that is good at least.

That update that comes after we've had another few incarnons and probably comes with at least 1 new melee (and if it doesn't Gunsen Prime is round the corner). I'll wait with baited breath. Fair enough. I love unairu so knockdown isn't a concept for me. I want to see Kullervo's shotgun. It looks cool
Cerenax
Seems like DE is assuming that Primed Sure Footed is like some obligatory mod that everyone is supposed to be using and honestly I kinda hate that.

I would disagree. It's pressed on by the community and YouTube creators putting it in every build I go out of my way to never use PSF, Rolling Guard, or any kind of shield gate abuse. You can also get by with Unairu Poise Edited June 6 by Mr.Holyroller

No I'm just a weird veteran player. You can disregard me lol. I just think it uses up too much Drain on my frame builds for actual mods so I never touch it

If a mod fits on the exilus slot at all that is probably where you want to put it since the mods that can fit on the main slots are just too good to be swapped for an exilus mod. I was also just clarifying that even people who have PSF don't always want to use it. Edited June 6 by Cerenax
VladYvhv
I've seen, and use, builds with multiple exilus mods. Could possibly be because not everyone has certain mods, or has them ranked up enough to be effective. Or has a frame formaed enough to fit what works better, yet.
(XBOX)sinamanthediva
I think the point of this post was to showcase the fact that DE has a major problem with proper testing and quality control and the Incarnon Hate Stagger Debacle is a clear example of their gross negligence. It is a sad state of affairs when we, the consumers of their product, have become apathetic to the constant state of release update and fix it later mentality that has permeated their work ethics for far too long. This is NOT an obscure random issue that affects only a few players and it should have been caught, if they had ONE person actually test the weapon BEFORE releasing it. What other industry has such ethical standards to produce a product and then make the consumer test it for them. I wouldn't want to buy some BRAKES for my car only to be the guinea pig and test them to see if they work properly. How many OOPSIES do you let slide from a company before they need to be told it's NOT acceptable to offer a product without SOME QUALITY CONTROL! It's been a month since Duviri's release and yet here we are discussing flaws that should have been caught before released to the public for use. Oh wait, it's FREE so they get a get out of jail free card with no repercussions as it's OUR problem, not theirs, silly me! I think the OP has a duty to speak up and say something else, we all are at fault for not saying something to indicate this is NOT an acceptable business ethic. I'm not saying that some bugs are not within acceptable parameters, but there should be a MAXIMUM value as a general guide to limit the volume of bugs that, as a consumer, we are forced to tolerate while acting as the quality control department owned by one of the largest companies in the entire world. Most likely it will just continue ,as we just chalk it up to DE being DE and it is what it is, oh well, back to the bug filled grind for my next bug riddled Incarnon weapon to test for them. Somehow they've knocked it out of the park with the music on every release. I prefer their sometimes slightly overstretched ambition over something more staid and polished. It's never boring. The fact they clearly didn't test the Incarnon Hate at all (when it's a second tier pick in an endgame mode at the end of the rotation) is funny, not "gross negligence". I'd rather have the hilariously broken Hate over not getting Steel Path Circuit at all for 6 months while they test and polish it. (XBOX)sinamanthediva
Maybe we have a different style of humor then, since it would have taken one person playing one mission with the Hate Incarnon to "Test and Polish" it which I doubt would take 6 months to fix so maybe my humor is too dry to find it funny. It was funny the first 9 years, now its just gross apathy for finding it humorous. So enjoy your Hilarious broken Hate and I'll wait the six months till it's fixed. Have a pleasant tomorrow!
BornWithTeeth
Bloody hell. Listen, DE, I've actually really enjoyed the Duviri Paradaox thus far, I genuinely have, it's great, but....guys, for the love of God, what were you thinking? The Hate Incarnon is basically just not usable. It's a melee weapon which autostaggers you if you actually hit an enemy with it. Did anyone, anyone, actually playtest the bloody thing? I was looking forward to trying it out, and now....Jesus. It also means I'm gonna be real hesitant about any other Incarnon upgrades which I haven't tried yet. What next, a Rifle Incarnon which makes the bullets do +200% damage, but have 0% accuracy and just fly everywhere except where you're aiming? I get that that seems like an exaggerated comparison, but it's really not. The Hate Incarnon is a melee weapon which is, get this, unusable in melee range. Was that pitched and explained and given the go ahead? Really? Also, yeah, not good that it's 'supposedly' being looked at. There's two options there, either it gets fixed right away, or it never gets fixed and gets forgotten about and just becomes a thing. "Oh, yeah, the Hate Incarnon. Yeah, it comes with cool passive bonuses, just don't ever use the actual Incarnon mode. Use it just for the passives. Only ever for the passives. Funny, really."
