Drills affinity

Hello everyone.

I have stumbled upon a weird thing. I have seen some legendary ranked players have mining drills accounted as secondary weapons. Even more so - some of them had legitimate affinity farmed and there were maxed out.

 

Questions:

 

- how to farm drills affinity ?

- do they add exp points to an overall player experience as most secondary weapons ? I mean - most of them add 3k xp for 30lvl

- is it leftover from some ingame events no longer in use ?

IIRC, the drills don't count as a weapon as such, I think they are just on the profile as they have the framework of a pistol (so they can work I suppose) you don't get MR Points from them

All righty then, why some of the players have it on the list while most of the people don't ? If you think it's just a pistol, it's fine, but we all get to mine gems at some point, right ?
