AreeSoothsayer
I don't have Warframe on a hardrive. It's on an M.2 SSD. That Optimization wastes precious writes and pops up everytime I start Warframe. Can you at least put in a launcher option to turn that off? I wouldn't really be concerned about write endurance since you only need to do this every mainline update (every few months), and the longevity of SSDs is absolutely huge compared to the small amount of like, 20 - 30GB that this writes vs something like, normal page file use over the course of a month. This optimization will still speed up mission loads even on an M.2 SSD, because it's optimizing the data package hierarchy itself by removing old and unused assets that may still get loaded in as part of a batch load (if the game gets confused), since every patch is just downloading new versions and adding to it, as well as freeing up overall space and ordering the files in such a way that the engine can load faster. See Momaw's response here, since this gets brought up every so often on forums:
TimTechDude
Use Seagate SeaTools to see terabytes written (TBW) and remaining life (works on other makes of SSD).
