Echoes of Duviri: Hotfix 33.6.8

Changes:

  • Updated the Cetus Wisp description to indicate better how to obtain them. 

    • “Most common at night, these stone lifeforms are drawn to shorelines touched by the Eidolon. They linger around lakes on the Plains of Eidolon at all hours. Their origin remains mysterious.”

    • We have an additional QOL change coming to Cetus Wisps in the upcoming Abyss of Dagath Update - stay tuned! 

Fixes:

  • Fixed being unable to chatlink the Gotva Prime.

  • Fixed being able to use Transference in the second stage of the Duviri Paradox Quest, resulting in players being stuck as the Drifter.

  • Fixed various pathing issues with Executioner Zura in Dog Days. 

  • Fixed Medusalyst Towers not having their projectile weapon if Kahl has died before reaching them in the “Prison Break” Break Narmer mission.

Updated known issues to include both of these (e: for clarity, speaking to the Latron Prime not working with Double Tap), as they are on our radar (and have been requested frequently).

What about the text box bug? Can that at least be added to the known issues list? Right now I am forced to assume it is never going to get fixed since it isn't on the known issues list. And it is quite annoying having to deal with it when interacting with chat frequently especially when chat-linking items for reference.

- They won't lower total price because that would mean processing refunds for those like me.

You can expect changes for the next batch of heirloom items, but not this one. It's the exact same situation as the very first Prime Resurgeance.

And while I've got a first page comment, let me reiterate again:

The "10 Year Supporter" Accolade is offensive

I guess this isn't good enough to be a "10 Year Supporter", huh? Choosing to "celebrate" only those who have supported you in one specific for 4 months in 2023, and to ignore and minimize all of us who have supported you since 2013, is tacky, tone-deaf, and just plain gross.

Give the "10 Year Supporter" Accolade to all players who have supported you since 2013. That includes F2P players, they matter too. Your player count and ingame economy wouldn't exist without them.

"Celebrating" 10 years of "F2P done right" by introducing exclusive, cash-only, FOMO Deluxe Skins is gross and harmful

Deluxe Skins have never been cash-only. Even when offered in cash-only Supporter Packs like the New War Supporter packs, Deluxe skins have always been available for plat purchase. Why are you choosing the game's 10th anniversary "celebration" to no longer honor your premium currencies?

Deluxe Skins were once time-limited. In 2015! But with Rhino Palatine you dropped the FOMO and made all Deluxe skins permanent, and have continued this streak over more than 50 skins over the past 8 years. Why are you choosing the game's 10th anniversary "celebration" to re-introduce this kind of FOMO?

Deluxe Skins have never been exclusive. A player starting out today has access to the same skins as a player that's been playing for a decade. F2P players also have that same level of access, earned through hard work by offering a service to premium players through the ingame market. Why are you choosing the game's 10th anniversary "celebration" to exclude large swathes of your playerbase? Especially when this exclusivity only fosters the same toxic elitism and harassment thrown from both sides of the aisle that have been felt since the Founders program a decade ago? What is the purpose of creating haves and have-nots? We all lift together, right?

Add the Heirloom skins to the market permanently for plat like every other Deluxe skin you've added over the past 8 years. Warframe has no need for second-class premium currencies, nor second-class citizens, nor the division this artificial exclusivity naturally brings. The New War Supporter packs followed this dual cash supporter/plat model and were very well received. Doing so would address all remaining concerns with these packs, from exclusivity to FOMO to inflexible bundle contents. Just do that again, and take the easy win for once so you can get rid of the ugly cloud lingering over an otherwise-excellent Tennocon. Not next time maybe if you feel like it, this time.

So far your only excuse for why nothing can change has been that it would be "unfair" to early adopters. Yet you said the exact same thing about Regal Aya, and when that blew up in your face you did a 180 within only 24 hours of launch. Wasn't it also "unfair" when you added Primed Chamber for everyone? Or Lato/Braton Vandal? Or Ignis Wraith? Wasn't it "unfair" when you brought back the first Deluxe Skins? Wasn't it "unfair" when you brought back the first Prime Unvaulting? And if you're going to evaluate changes on the basis of fairness, then how are these packs fair to new players who start the game in 2024? How are they fair to players who can't afford expensive bundles inflated with premium currencies?

Using fairness to justify leaving a system inherently unfair is just lame. "It'd be unfair to be fair" is just a weak excuse. You're supposed to be better than this.

It is the exact same situation as Prime Resurgence. And how did that go? It wasn't changed "next time", it was changed immediately. What they've said so far about Heirloom packs is the same thing they said with Regal Aya's "nah maybe next time", "unfair" excuse and all, and yet with Regal Aya they did a 180 and addressed community concerns in less than 24 hours.

will there ever be a fix for getting hit with the lift knockback from blitz or flame radial attacks and using transference at the same time resulting in ejecting your operator even further?

is extended forward momentum from ejecting out of the frame a thing?

or transference-in places you lower where you were as operator, you can literally be at where you need to be as operator and switching back as the frame, transference-in is at lower position, so you missed where you intended to be.

or how about on titania transference-in and facing a direction as operator does not translate to the facing direction of the frame, after. so your jarred and you have to turn the frame.

the in-space position and direction of the operator should be the same for the frame for transference in.

Hi, many of us still have not received Gotva Prime from Twitch Drops. Will there be a statement about this?

Additionally, Secondary Shiver still does not function as described by its description and in some cases does not function at all.

Incarnon Sibear's "Ice Field" on slam is practically nonexistent.

When will these issues be addressed?

Any answer will do honestly. Giving straight answer about those would end whole debate about those packs in first place don't you think?
