(PSN)RazorsEdge6267
While I'm intrigued about warframe 1999, you need to take a break from making cinematic quests. When you keep making them you take a team away to make it which gives you less time to make content for the game, that`s why (from what people said) 2017 was the worst year for warframe. Even though I would like to see a quest where you can meet other tenno (operator) and a quest where all of your customised warframes are in a quest fighting enemies, after 1999, you need to take at least 2 years off, if you do that you can focus on the game more by improving on already existing content, fixing bugs that have been in the game for years, giving improvements to warframes like: Spoiler Banshee Ash Valkyr Hildryn Titania Caliban And many more And actually give us what we asked for: Universal vacuum on warframes, operator/drifter, necromechs, archwing and k-drives with a decent range. Make medallions work on conclave (or make conclave better) Remove UI cursor off of consoles And do another community created warframe contest and weapons like you use to, I missed it and I want to take part. Now I don`t agree when people say stop making warframes, no keep making them but go back and focus on the game and unleash the full potential of the game.

Fixing years old bug wont attract new players and DE´s MO is jumping from new content to another new and once a while fleshing out something long forgotten. So stoping creating cinematics for 2 years is almost like suicide
AntifreezeUnder0
Yea, its the rorshack thing. We align our playstyle to their vision, not they align their vision to our playstyle. Its us who just adapts to the fact there be patern on content islands, do or ignore , our choices. The cinematic quests should not stop, but they atleast should fill in spots of lore, or gives us new knowledge or just expands the story further. Fixing frames... their fix on their vision is total nerf in eyes of players. Like reworking hydroid made him just spam ability and win, yet grendel could do decent dmg, got turned into helminth food to the max for nourish, and kill any scaling or dmg output, where even 500% strenght dont stand near the output before rework. (PSN)jaggerwanderer
Or you know outsource those projects to other studio. Like that The New War trailer.

However DE are profit driven and after Ten cent take over its even more now. So wont be holding my breath if the go back and fix anything. They are more likely to just add more content that will die off a month after release.
LuckyCharm
I dont really agree with just fixing bugs and reworking frames for a couple years, however, its ridiculous that we dont have small side quests to flesh out lore, barely any npcs besides shops we can interact with, huge portions of the game tied behind vaulted content or events years past inaccessible. Not every quest has to be huge, cinematic, or even voiced. We could easily have fetch quests, or defend quests etc using existing map content, just with a little more flavor text etc that gives us reason to care whats happening in game. The games lore currently as it is in game is almost impossible to follow as large chunks of it were from events long past you have to view the wiki for. But in general with all the made up concepts and words, feels like de were trying to be the smartest in the room by answering questions with questions and not answering either. Games 10 years old at this point, you'd at least think we'd have answers to what konzu has for lunch
VibingCat
Maybe they should consider hiring new programmers to read our bug reports and fix them?
Birdframe_Prime
So. Something I've not seen passed on here is that DE did this already. They stopped focusing on new and shiny things and actually spent one whole year doing actual bug-fixes and reworks and improvements to old content. Things they fixed, reworked and added include, but aren't limited to: Spoiler UI improvements for buffs and debuffs Overshields (as a mechanic) Spy 2.0 Stealth Finishers and Affinity updates Taking away the key requirements for Vay Hek Defense mission improvements to make the target scale with enemy level Introducing Cephalon Symaris for his mods and shop Splitting your Loadouts for the different purposes (PvE, Conclave, Archwing) Introduced the Simulacrum The /unstuck command Introduced the Grineer Sea Lab tile set Adding rare resource blueprints to the market Updates to Clan leadership Excalibur's big rework Parkour 2.0 Exilus Mod Slots Buffs to Shotguns Updated their Voice over IP system The Landing Craft customisation and support update Full new boss fight (Jordas Golem) One of the Saryn Reworks Login Rewards updates Snipers reworked Rhino reworked (a little) And all of that while still releasing the iconic Second Dream quest and the Focus system along with it. You know what happened? Absolutely nothing. The Second Dream was needed that year because the 'year of quality' had basically nothing to draw the players in with until then. Players at the edge of the MR and content wave stopped playing because there was nothing new that they hadn't done forty thousand times, even though they could do it easier or better now. New players didn't see any of the adverts about something new and shiny to draw them in until December's Second Dream release, because there was no actual ad campaign that would make patch notes interesting to a non-player. And it gave DE all the stats to show exactly what Pablo said last year and re-iterated this year: Reworks and fixing old content just doesn't seem to do anything for the player base. Yes it can improve things, and that's why they still have dedicated sections where they give us reworks to frames, like Hydroid, or give us updates to old systems (like, you know, the massive Companion overhaul they just did, the Abyss of Dagath update coming with five separate sections of updates and reworks?) These updates to old content are less frequent because the player base literally doesn't do anything different when DE updates old stuff. So they won't stop making the new quests, new events, new content in general because... that's what actually gets them money and active players.

There actually was a thread where DE talked about consoles getting it and there were multiple pages of people complaining (rightly so) about it on that post, it was good for PC but not for console. The two words I remember people saying was "muscle memory". So you might of not seen it but I was there when it was all going down.
