1nSaNiTy69
Been playing a lot with randoms, and it seems that consoles have the ability to use mics in game .. sometimes I can't even hear the game. Yes I know I can turn it off .. question is how is it even turned on for console, and PC can't use the in game chat? I politely let the culprit know that we can hear them. 99% of the time the issue is resolved, but then there are those that choose to ignore.. Frustrating at the least. I can't even use my mic to tell them to turn on 'press to talk' Edited December 20, 2023 by 1nSaNiTy69
Nkomo-Sama
Were you able to hear the console players? I'm playing on a console at the moment and none of my teammates seem to be able to hear each other (crossplatform and cross saves all around switch playing with a 5 and a box but we all used to play on the pc.) I'll submit the bug report I'm just curious to know how that worked out for you. I wonder if I need to adjust the port settings 🤔....
Nekomian
Rather recently, they enabled VOIP for cross-platform so all users should be able to talk over mic to one another (with cross platform enabled of course): On 2023-12-12 at 10:11 AM, [DE]CoreyOnline said: Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) with Cross Platform Play: PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation Tenno can voice chat together in Warframe! No action is required for Cross Platform VOIP if you have Cross Platform Play enabled! Provided players have microphones available to them, console and PC players in a Cross Play squad can participate in voice chat. I personally just turn it off because we have things like discord or other party chats, and 95% of this game can be played without even talking to others anyways or just using the in-game text chat. I don't particularly want to hear someone's accidental breathing in my ear because their voice activation is on or something.
Nkomo-Sama
100% didn't work for us. We tried pc Xbox switch and ps5...cross save enabled voice chat enabled....still silence.

Honestly i believe its only one console type, I dont know which one. but I also can't get it to work on my end .. cause sometimes I try to let them know that I can hear their game and its super loud cause the TV is on at full blast lol.. But they dont see the text or choose to ignore it ..So being able to just hit the "c" key on the keyboard and tell them would be great .
Tennometry
For consoles it's as simple as enabling voice and plugging a mic in. But you can use your mic on pc as well you have to enable voice, select mic, and adjust input volume and gain. You can also use noise canceling software like krisp to make your voice come thru clear if using a USB mic . Also, a lot of people don't realize to mute your mics completely (if you wanna be sure) you disable voice on game under mouse custom keybindings. Make push to talk in General, Railjack, and drifter categories. Also make push to talk on steam settings if you're using that launcher. And finally right click speaker on Taskbar and go to sound settings and mute the mic on every device connected to your pc that has audio input capability. Then you won't even hear yourself when you test the mic in menu outside squad in your orbiter. Because if you do all of that you literally cut all audio signal from the game. Just FYI for those PC players that can't seem to figure out how to mute their mic. Edited September 4 by Tennometry
