NeverDT Posted January 3, 2013 Share Posted January 3, 2013 On defense missions (have witnessed this with both Grineer and Infestation), it's possible for enemies to get stuck in the rooms they spawn in because the doors won't want to open after the mobs have gone through. It's usually impossible to get the doors to open, although I was able to once by shooting it until the enemy apparently got it to open. Runners will still detonate through doors and my friend was able to melee a Grineer through one, but I've had a few cases where I had to abort because the enemy wouldn't come out and I couldn't kill them. Gestalt Posted January 5, 2013 Share Posted January 5, 2013 i've had this happen in as many as 30%~ of my defense missions, and i replayed the infested defense mission (was it mars? forgot) a hell of a lot to farm mods before they were buffed. before, i always just aborted the missions, but the past 3 times this had happened to me, i'd just go around checking all the doors (don't have enemy radar), and as soon as you hear the low growl, hack at the doors and the last infested would die, triggering the next wave. i think that's a workable temporary solution for now, but to fix it a good way would be to have the doors stay open/openable after a wave has come out. there are lockers in those rooms to begin with, so this seems like a good solution, unless DE wants to keep those lockers harder to get to, as presently the only way to loot them would be to enter the rooms while the waves are coming out. personally i haven't run into one where the mob refused to get close to the door, and therefore become unable to kill with melee. maybe if you have enemy radar you can guesstimate the position and try to shoot it through the door? assuming you have +puncture of course.
