almaJackdawn
I was trying a health tanking Harrow Prime build and decided to replace Pennance with something I could rely on a bit more without needing to spend shields to remain active, so I decided to infuse him with Sevagoth's Gloom. However, when I started Steel Path survivql in the Void, I was surprised when, after activating both Thurible and Gloom, my kills were not rewarding me with any energy, even though the UI was displaying the values I was supposed to be recieving. I then thought maybe this was intentional while Gloom was draining your energy for slowing enemies, just like it happens with Zenurik's Wellspring (even though I don't think it should work the same), so I took it to the Simulacrum and gave Harrow negative range to avoid activating the energy drain from Gloom, and to my surprise, even in that case, Thurible rewarded me no energy. This convinced me that it's a bug and I hope when it's fixed, you can get energy from Thurible even through the energy drain. Thank you in advance!
almaJackdawn
Here is a screenshot of that happening. I activated Gloom, then charged Thurible until I had 47 energy left, then I killed a Heavy Gunner with a headshot, which should reward me with 89.2 energy as displayed in the UI, but as you can see in the energy display, my energy was still 47 after that. As you can see, both in the minimap and in the game itself, the Gloom range was not touching any enemies while this happened and it happens the same way if it is.
Tiltskillet
Yeah, good catch. Now I'm curious whether it works for allies (without channeled abilities active on them)while you've got Gloom active. Anyway, according to the wiki, While Gloom is active, Sevagoth can not replenish energy using Energy Vampire, Rift Plane's innate energy regeneration, or Squad Energy Restores. While Gloom is active, but not draining energy, Sevagoth can replenish energy using Rally Point, Energy Siphon, Energy Nexus, Dreamer's Bond, and/or Wellspring. If an enemy walks into range the energy replenishment from these effects will halt until the enemy is removed from the radius. With Thurible in the first category according to your testing. As far as Thurible specifically goes, I think any reasonable but niche buff like this would be welcome. But it seems like for consistency's sake these should all or almost all work while Gloom is toggled but not draining, or none of them should work. Personally I don't care that much which, but I haven't thought through the ramifications.
almaJackdawn
Personally, I think any forms of getting chunks of energy back such as energy vampire or thurible should work even while gloom is draining energy. It's very counter intuitive otherwise and this way would not really break anything. I of course understand why gradual energy generation such as wellspring or energy syphon wouldn't really make sense to work while gloom is draining energy, but in the other cases I'm pretty sure it's not intentional.
