Ozmourne
I don't exactly remember where we were playing, but the maps where you have these damaging laser doors/barriers were really glitchy and turned on at a very random time or if you had just passed the barrier (while it was turned off) and a second later it turns off, you end up getting hurt due to some lag I think and get stuck in between the lasers and end up dying. It think it would be good if the character didnt fall to the ground when the lasers are up, this way he doesnt accidentally glitch himself and can back off. I saw my other squad mates where diving/dashing through from the corner of the lasers and didnt get hurt but when me and another guy tried it, we got killed lol. Its just really annoying, we kept complaining about it the whole level and other maps
Aftertouchs
Are you guys shooting out the security cameras that trigger the lasers?
Ozmourne
Some laser barriers still went off, even without the Security Camera, we had destroyed them. It was unusually glitch and really tampered with the gameplay, people kept joining game and rage quiting
Roujou
Some doors are set on a timer, as opposed to being controlled by cameras. You'll get used to it eventually.
Mimix
Yes it would be nice it was made some what clear of how to handle these doors. Friend and I spent a long time just trying to figure out how they worked.
WallyDin
Took me 3-5 seconds what was causing the lasers to appear first time I encountered them. I saw the light from the camera change, shot it, bam. It was obvious to me, should have been obvious to everyone else.
Ozmourne
Some doors are set on a timer, as opposed to being controlled by cameras. You'll get used to it eventually. Ah okay thats good to know, but the problem of a minor lag still gets you killed, like you may have passed the lasser barrier in your game, but on the internet it hasn't happened yet and the laser go off and you get pulled back to the laser barrier, falling down on the ground, in the middle of it and you lose all of your hp. I think the proper fix to this would be that, if you take laser barrier damage, your character should not fall down and become immobile for a few seconds, this way the players can not accidentally glitch themselves in the middle of the laser door just being tortured to death. Ryghlen
I think some of them are linked to the alerted enemys as well. Until you kill all of them, a few wont stop working. Maybe i'm wrong. Edited January 6, 2013 by Ryghlen
Molasses
I've also been stunlocked by lasers, causing me to die. It shouldn't cause a directional knockback.
Shadowmail
I just use the excaliber dash to get though the lasers :p, dont know if this is intended to work or not but it does.

Pretty much this, if shooting the cameras don't work, just use excalibur dash to go through. You guys should be playing Excalibur anyway, the super jump is pretty useful for traversing the map fast. Ozmourne
I just use the excaliber dash to get though the lasers :p, dont know if this is intended to work or not but it does. Actually because of that, I came across a new bug.I dashed across an open door (cuz three enemies were close and were standing in a straight line, cudnt help using the dash skill) So I end up on the other side of the door, the door closes and now I need a Keycard to open it, which is on the OTHER side and im stuck. While my poor friend kept dying alone, we had to abandon the mission, lol.
Boffosaurus
Sometimes it isn't clear which camera is causeing the barrier. It'd be helpful if there were something like a glowing wire leading from the lasered door to the camera that is currently actively causing the laser barrier. Ganja
I find it nice if you are playing loki. You can go invis and walk through em. Also if you sprint and slash you can slide through em.
Feindfeuer
It seems that no matter what camera spots which member of your team, all laser barriers (or at least all close to team members) will activate. This includes walking through a door and getting spotted by the cameras in the next room, resulting in barriers getting activated right as you walk through. A team mates entering a room far away which will result in 'randomly' activating lasers, cause you only have the local lasers as reference and not your team mates movement. Corpus missions certainly need quiet a bit more communication than the other maps for these specific reasons. Even with mumble running we had one death yesterday cause the new guy had run off and was randomly activating barriers for the rest of us. :P
Volume
Sometimes it isn't clear which camera is causeing the barrier. It'd be helpful if there were something like a glowing wire leading from the lasered door to the camera that is currently actively causing the laser barrier. I think if they were to do this, they could implement it in a Metroid Prime style, where you can activate another vision mode in your visor (I think it was thermal in that game) to see the electrical circuit. Doors would lock down and you would have to use thermal vision to see a power conduit, then shoot it with your Wave Beam (electrical bolt thing) to 'energize' it to power the door up again. You could use a similar thing here, and it would fit the 'nature' of the game very well. Just have another vision mode that connects the door to the camera, if it is necessary (personally I don't think so, but if they must do it, do it in a way that makes the player feel cool, not babied). Leviathani
Nerf the lazor doors! In seriousness they really bog the game down, it's suppossed to be fun, right? Beating your head off the wall trying to get past the barriers isn't fun. Whether they are buggy or WAD either way, not fun. And if they are WAD, why are enemies able to run through them at will? Enemies can run through them because presumably they have IFF emitters that tell the doors "I am a Corpus dude, don't set me on fire."
Tetora
There was one door where the lazer extended in both directions (infinite distance) and split half a room in half with a green lazor and murdered us. Kinda hiliarious when we thought it was some kind of new booby trap in a room. =P

I dont mind the lazers, but the first time we encountered them we were confused until we looked up and saw red lights =P Kinda figured that out a little late after we used our abilities to get through the lazers. By then it was already too late and we had perm lazor doors!

I disagree, the laser barriers are one of the few things that actually differentiate Corpus from the other factions. Till DE implements proper map-designs for each faction(if ever)small stuff like that is needed to break up the repetition. Though the camera bug needs fixing. Till that happens the slide-dash-slash trick works somewhat reliable.
Mak_Gohae
You should be able to hack the lasers to shut them off for a short time.

ArrowPanic
Yes Shooting cameras does work but there needs to be something done to it (maybe it not being instantly turned on and off but like blue harmless laser 2 sec then again the green deadly one) Because as it is right now you can really screw over your squad members if you get through it early and then search for another camera close by... you can sometimes find some that they cannot shoot. (Not sure if all cameras activate all lasers or just regions) But ive certainly done this too (even if by accident)
