As far as I know its been quite a while since rivens have gotten any new effects. With mods becoming more and more diverse rivens should follow right?
Would you want to see melee rivens for example be able to roll with tennokai? or a pistol riven with a locked fire rate but massively increased crit or damage.

Same, I'm sorry to the 7 people that actually like faction damage on rivens, but it needs to go. Same for all of those stats that would later be moved to the Exilus slot, like Zoom and Recoil. Status damage would be a cool addition, as would the projectile size stat I saw on a devstream I think?

Yes, definitely. 

Status damage, melee heavy attack wind up speed, damage on heavy, attack speed on kill,  etc 

There's a lot of potential in this.

I would like to see some possible stat rolls changed, but I wouldn't want even more options to dilute the pool. Change +zoom to something else at the very least.

I like the idea of status damage.

DE is probably trying to avoid crumbling the entire Riven economy because it sustains a large portion of Platinum trading hands and the general health of the economy across all platforms.

If DE are to add to the stats pool, they'd have to also revamp the way players roll stats as otherwise it'd be quite disrespectful towards all the time players have collectively spent on the Riven system only for most of their investment to be invalidated by new desirable stats. Yes, I get it's a live service game, but it's important not to crap on things players have spent years on, especially with the value of Rivens as a whole.

To be perfectly honest, it's pretty nice how Riven Mods become less and less required as time goes on due to the powercreep that has consumed weapons outside of the Riven system. They're nice as a cherry on top. They shouldn't be a core modding system.

As others have noted, any additions dilute the pool further. But I think it's probably worth a few things:

1. I unfortunately agree on faction damage. I personally use faction mods but there are only 3 factions even supported by rivens and I'd hate to see more added, diluting further. Best to simply remove, even if the faction damage can be a huge DPS boost since there are so few sources of it.

2. Getting Elemental Damage would be nice.

TBH I'd *really* like to see a few mechanical changes to Rivens, but I doubt that'll happen. It'd be great if I could do something like spend 50K Kuva to bias the RNG in some way, like "60k Kuva for a 5% increased chance of having a negative" (basically ~20 rolls of Kuva for a +1/20 chance of getting some property you want). Or even "triple the roll price but you increase the chance that a specific state from a previous roll carries over".

Something where I can pay Kuva upfront to improve the RNG, simply because sitting down and rolling for an hour is boring as hell, and obviously once you get a "good" riven the chances of beating it becomes extremely unlikely.
