Skin Design for Oberon and Skill Effect Design

An ancient Chinese mystery says, when a carp leaps over a 'dragon gate' above water successfully, the carp can have a chance, of turning into a real dragon...

The initial inspiration was to change the 2nd skill to flowers, turning it into a lotus pond. So, the design theme this time revolves around lotuses. The skill replacement effect design is also included below. The main design of this Oberon skin aims to make it look like a big carp standing on a large lotus pond. Therefore, the Warframe is designed to resemble a fish as much as possible, especially with the belly and neck left blank to give it more of a fish belly feel.

The special effects for the 1st and 4th skills are related to carp. The original round shaped projectiles in the 1st skill is replaced with a fish.

By default, when the 4th skill hits enemies affected by the 2nd skill, the enemies are slammed to the ground. However, since in this skin, the original energy area effect of the 2nd skill is replaced with a water surface, so when enemies hit the ground, it’s more likely to be that they are hitting a water surface, causing fish to swim on(over) the water, (xD).

The 3rd skill has more design elements. Originally, there was no visual effect when activating the 3rd skill. I designed a small incense burner in the shape of a lotus flower at the skill release position, with visual effects for yourself and allied units. The smoke from the incense burner also changes with the amount of energy.

Lotus flowers are often mentioned in Chinese themes, so I incorporated many Chinese elements here. The dragon head is also Chinese-style, and I made clothes with ancient Han Dynasty elements, with lotus pond patterns painted on them. The patterns are also included below.

And there’s a tail! The tail needs additional animations to make it cuter, hehe.

More details and pattern designs are posted on Twitter. There are too many pictures, making it look cluttered. I wanted to give Oberon a nice skin to wear, and I spent a long time drawing it (sob sob). This is my first submission on the official forum, and I hope everyone likes this work.
