A number of weapons have effectively lost their special trait now that any weapon can be made automatic. Two examples would be the Stradavar (Prime) and the Argonak special traits do almost nothing now (there is a slight fire rate difference between the auto and semi modes). These and other weapons that similarly were based around the fire type need to be updated.

Their firing modes also affect their crit chance and status chance. Slower modes tend to favour crit, faster leans more towards status. Kuva Hind also changes the ammo it consumes per shot, I think. So the setting does still affect them in terms of comfort, but not as much in terms of damage quality as you'd expect.

At the least then the trait descriptions need to be changed to indicate this, as all they talk about is semi vs auto. I had to look closely at the stats (which are hard to compare as they are not all on screen at once) to see what you were talking about (it would be really nice to have stats next to each other for multi-mode weapons instead of vertically stacked). And frankly maybe the mode names changed as well to reflect the functional effect now that the fire mode is mostly irrelevant.

Meanwhile the Tigris family is crying in the corner with their child, Catabolyst, in wake of the semi-auto toggle.

I wouldn't say weapons have lost their special trait. There is also the knell prime which is very hilarious with auto death knell.

This is hyperbole but the amount of weapons it affects isn't that many so an updated pass to fix those weapons wouldn't hurt.
